SistahFest "Recognizing and celebrating intergenerational women though arts and education." To share stories, to heal, and to celebrate the power and beauty of women.

Sistahfest™ was started in Ottawa, Ontario in 1996 by Masani Montague and Mertella Montague then was relocated to Toronto, Ontario in 2006 as part of Rastafest™. The festival has now evolved into an independent entity, highlighting the struggles of women through the utilization of the arts and education. Sistahfest™ was born out of recognition of the importance in the celebration and empowerment of women, through edutainment. We gather as intergenerational women to honor and recognize our strengths, passion and common struggles. Sistahfest™ is a multi-discipline arts/culture festival showcasing female artists and educators through the utilization of workshops, theatre production, spoken word, dance and music.
