VIRA FALL UPDATE 🚨

We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming roping series at Innes Arena so we can take a step back and focus our efforts on planning for the 2027 season.

As a new association, we’re learning as we go, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we navigate this transition. Building something from the ground up comes with challenges, and taking a step back will allow us to refocus, regroup and lay the groundwork for an even stronger future for VIRA and breakaway roping on Vancouver Island.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Innes' Arena for giving us the opportunity to host our ropings at their facility and for their support throughout this process. We truly appreciate the opportunity and their willingness to work with us.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our competitors, sponsors, volunteers and supporters who have been part of this journey. Your continued support means so much to us and we’re excited to take what we’ve learned this season and put it toward making 2027 our best season yet! ❤️

All entry/slot fees have been refunded. If you have any questions please message the page or email 📧 [email protected].

❤️ A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS! ❤️

We’re excited to announce that with the extension of our season into the Fall Series at Innes Arena, sponsor recognition will continue as well!

We are now officially an association which means we’re looking forward to building something that lasts. We want our sponsors to know that they’re not just supporting individual events, they’re becoming part of the future we’re building at VIRA. Our goal is to create meaningful relationships with the businesses and supporters who believe in our sport and invest in our competitors.

So let’s show our sponsors some love! Take the time to thank the businesses that support breakaway roping. Give them a follow, shop local and support the people who support our sport. Strong, long term partnerships start with appreciation, and supporting these businesses helps us continue growing together.

From all of us at VIRA, thank you for believing in us and being part of this journey. We couldn’t do it without you!

🏆 RESULTS ARE IN 🏆

What an incredible weekend of breakaway roping! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the Punchy Pistol Productions season.

We saw some smokin’ fast runs, big catches, and some seriously impressive roping all weekend long!

⚡ Fastest times of the weekend:
🥇 Patti Woods 2.65
🥈 Celine Dodd 2.68
🥉 Addi Cullen 3.40

💰HIGH MONEY EARNER Jill Tee has become our consistency queen taking home $543.33.

⭐ NOVICE HIGH MONEY EARNER
A huge congratulations to Sil Huber who had an incredible weekend and was on a roll after making her very first catch to then smoking another 4 and winning $677.66! 🔥👏

A HUGE thank you to the Comox Valley Exhibition for allowing us to bring breakaway roping to the CVEX and giving us the opportunity to showcase our sport to such a great crowd. We are so grateful for the support and the chance to be part of this event!

To our amazing volunteers - THANK YOU. None of this happens without the people behind the scenes running timers, announcing, helping in the arena, handling cattle, setting up, flagging, tearing down and doing all the little things that keep everything moving. We appreciate you more than you know.

For this event in particular, it took a lot of set up, organizing and hard work to bring in panels, chute, the cattle and all the equipment necessary to run what I think was one of our best events yet! There were some very special people who showed up days prior and stayed until the bitter end to help set up and take everything down. When everyone else gets to go home and the work still needs to be done, you’re the ones who stay and it doesn’t go unnoticed ❤️

This season has been filled with new faces, new opportunities, hard work, big wins and so many memories. We are incredibly grateful to every competitor, volunteer, sponsor, supporter and friend who helped make this season happen!

STAY TUNED as we have some awesome prizes to give out at some point once the dust has settled and I’m able to go through all of our results to award our season winners!

Thank you to our sponsors for believing in Punchy Pistol Productions and for helping us build something we are so proud of!
