"THE LAST WALTZ".........

And just like that our incredible summer of BUSK TIL DUSK comes to an end this Thursday. It only feels right that our last night has a little story behind it..... so stay with me for a moment.
It only feels right to bring the last BTD home with a band that is truly a part of the fabric of our community.."Kitty and the Boyz".
Angela - better known to so many of us as "Kitty" is one of Midland- Simcoe County's most familiar and beloved voices, and if you've heard her sing you know why. She and the talented band Kitty and the Boyz have been bringing people together through music from Midland, Wasaga, Collingwood, Thornbury and beyond for many years. What makes Ang so special is she just doesn't sing to the crowd she sings with them with the incredibly talented Steve Charlebois, Keith Laurie (Chaz), Rob Walker and Tony Anthony Buffone...they take you just about anywhere musically.....and don't be surprised to see Kitty herself end up in the sand dancing with the crowd....that's just who she is. ❤️
When she's not on stage you may find Angela doing something completely different, she is an avid and accomplished golfer.
The Last Waltz....those 3 words carry a little more meaning for some of us. For Ang and those who know her family's musical history her Dad was "Jerry Penfold" a connection and member of "The Band" in the early 60's whose story was eventually captured in the legendary movie "The Last Waltz" He was part of the foundational musical collective alongside Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson and Ronnie Hawkins. Kitty was surrounded by rock history!
We are truly grateful to have Kitty and The Boyz join us for the last Busk til Dusk.

"Charlotte and the Dirty Cowboys" gave it everything they had last night. Cheryl Hill got in the sand with the crowd and took us on a musical journey through the 70's, 80's and 90's, it was a full dance floor all night!
Sponsor for the night was Leo Dubeau & Forrest Willett from "Royal LePage Georgian Bay-Muskoka Team" along with Sandie, Julie & Shelly who gave out free draw tickets for 36 custom jackets and T-shirts for the kids!!🙏
Then another surprise to end the night drummer Randy Osborne took to the mic and sang an awesome Billy Idol song. What a performance!!.... A great band, an amazing crowd and a gorgeous Georgian Bay sunset!🙏🌅

We've made a change in this upcoming week's line-up. We are going to miss seeing BIG CHILL this year - but they will for sure be on next year's schedule.
The replacement band will be Billboard Union – from our very first rained-out show from June 25th!

Here is a message from BIG CHILL to all of you.

"KLASIK" turned Balm Beach into a Beach dance party!
Last night became exactly what we hoped it would be....and just when we thought the night couldn't get any better the sky joined us with an awesome red sunset giving us a perfect ending to the evening.🌅🤟

What started out as a day of uncertainty with the threat of rain... turned into one of those special "Busk Til Dusk" evenings. The skies opened up and the sun came out.!!
Sydney Riley brought her incredible energy, powerful vocals and passion to the stage. Her Rock/ Folk and Alternative sound had the crowd soaking up every moment....but what made the evening so special are the people who come together to support live music and local talent....Thank you for that! 😊🙏
