Faces don’t lie.
There’s a moment at Sunfest every year that no photo can fully hold, the second a rhythm lands and a stranger next to you becomes family, if only for a song.

Every face here is from a different corner of the world, and for four days in Victoria Park.
Keep it going with us.

Music has a way of showing up in places you’d never expect. On Oct 17, it shows up in Kaqchikel.

Sara Curruchich sings in her mother tongue and in Spanish, the first Maya artist to bring that language to a global stage. The Washington Post named her a must-see act in 2024. Now that stage is here.

Shows like this don’t land in every city. We’re lucky this one’s landing in ours.

Sat, Oct 17. London Brewing Co-Op. Doors 7, show 8. $25 advance, $31 door.

Remember when Systema Solar brought Victoria Park straight to Colombia’s Caribbean coast?

Their sound comes from the picó, those legendary, oversized street sound systems from Barranquilla where entire neighborhoods gather and the music never stops. Champeta, cumbia, bullerengue, all fused with hip hop and electronic beats born out of pure community joy.

For one night, that same energy lived here. London danced to a rhythm shaped thousands of kilometres away ✨🍃.

Music doesn’t stop when the lights go down.
It lives in the friendships made in the crowd, the strangers who danced like family, the community that keeps showing up — because belonging isn’t seasonal.

That's what we want for the Sunfest family, not just festival days, but a home for kindness and connection, all year round.

Support local art. Support your community. Support the music. 🎶

Two moods. Two worlds. One band. 🇰🇷

DOSI brought us a performance that shifted from quiet intensity to full rock power in a single breath — and the crowd felt every second of it.

This is the kind of moment that makes Sunfest, Sunfest. 💛
Sunfest doesn’t stop in July — support the music all year long.

Catch us at our year-round concerts. 🎶

Growing up, Vieux wasn’t allowed anywhere near a guitar.

His father, one of Mali’s most celebrated musicians, wanted a different path for him entirely. A family friend, kora virtuoso Toumani Diabaté, eventually talked him into changing course, just before his father’s passing in 2006.

A few of those final studio sessions ended up on his own first record. These days, critics reach for Hendrix comparisons when they describe his playing.

Fri, Oct 2 · Metropolitan United Church · Doors 7 / Show 8 · $30 adv, $37 door.
