Looking for an opportunity to help shape one of Fernie's most iconic events?

We are seeking an experienced Event Lead to help plan and deliver the 50th Anniversary of Griz Days in 2027!

This is your chance to lead the planning and ex*****on of a milestone celebration that brings together thousands of residents and visitors for a weekend of tradition, community, and unforgettable winter fun.

The successful proponent will lead event planning, logistics, vendors, volunteers, programming, safety, and festival operations while working alongside the Chamber and its dedicated marketing team to bring the celebration to life.

Contract Start: September 1, 2026
Festival Dates: March 5-7, 2027

The Fernie Chamber of Commerce is officially seeking proposals from experienced event planners and event management companies to lead the planning and delivery of the 50th Anniversary Griz Days Festival.
For nearly 50 years, Griz Days has been at the heart of our community - bringing together locals and visitors to celebrate everything that makes Fernie special. As we look ahead to this milestone anniversary, we’re searching for the right partner to help shape an unforgettable weekend!

If you or someone you know has experience producing large-scale community events, we’d love to hear from you.
