Somewhere along the way, did we forget we're allowed to have fun? 😂
I've spent a lot of time recently reflecting on what it means to live more fully, particularly as we move through midlife.
And one thing I'm becoming increasingly clear about is that I don't want a life that looks wonderful from the outside but feels exhausting to maintain.
I want the meaningful conversations, the deep connections, the spiritual experiences and the work that fills my heart. But I also want the ridiculous moments, the spontaneous laughter, the adventures and the freedom to be completely unpolished.
For those of you who know me, you know that I'm all about the fun and how play can really open us up to so much more in our lives.
Because reconnecting with ourselves isn't always about sitting quietly, journalling or doing the deep inner work.
Sometimes it's about letting our hair down, being a little ridiculous and remembering that life is here to be enjoyed.
After all, I've spent enough years learning how to survive life's challenges. This chapter is about permitting myself to experience more of its joy.
And if that means occasionally embracing my inner cheeky teenager, so be it! 😂
When was the last time you did something purely for the joy of it, without worrying what anyone else thought?
Big love from Cherie Ashana ❤️
