🎃 HAPPY HALLOWEEN, MALANDA! 👻🍬

It’s time for some spooky fun, and the Malanda Show Society is excited to be joining in tonight’s Trick or Treat celebrations!

We’ve stocked up on plenty of chocolates, lollies, chips and Halloween goodies, ready to welcome all the little ghosts, witches, devils and monsters visiting us throughout the evening!

📍 Find us at Stop 6 — Malanda Show Society, 35 James Street.

🕠 Trick or Treating: 5:30pm – 8:00pm

With 21 Halloween-friendly locations across Malanda, there’s plenty of fun to be had! Be sure to check out the attached map to plan your evening and visit all the participating businesses and locations.

A few friendly reminders:
🍬 Only visit participating locations during the designated times.
🚸 Take care when crossing roads and supervise children.
🗑️ Please help keep our town tidy.
🎃 Remember to bring your manners and Halloween spirit!

The Malanda Show was proud to be part of this year’s Torimba Festival Parade, celebrating the wonderful theme “Your Story. Your Stage.”

Our float showcased a colourful collection of ribbons, sashes and awards, representing the many achievements, memories and stories that have been made through the Malanda Show over the years!

At the Malanda Show, we believe everyone has a story to tell, and everyone deserves a stage to tell it on.

From the dedication of our dairy cattle exhibitors and the skill of our horse riders, to the creativity of our photographers, the talents of our bakers, and the achievements celebrated across our many other sections, the Malanda Show provides a stage for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to shine.

Behind every ribbon is a story of hard work, passion, determination and pride. Some stories have been unfolding for generations, while others are only just beginning. And that is what makes our Show so special — it’s not just about the ribbons we award, but the people, stories and memories behind them.

Proudly representing the Malanda Show in this year’s parade were Beau Baker, our 2026 Junior Rural Ambassador, and Bridie Blinco, our 2025 Show Queen, who joined in the celebrations and helped showcase the next generation of our agricultural show movement!

A big thank you to the Torimba Festival organisers for another fantastic community celebration. We loved being part of an event that celebrates the people, talents and stories that make our Tablelands communities so special!

The Malanda Show Society is incredibly proud to congratulate our President, Greg English, on his appointment as the Combined Breeds Judge for the 2027 NZ DairyEvent in Feilding, New Zealand.

Greg’s involvement in the dairy industry and agricultural show movement spans decades — as a breeder, exhibitor, judge and volunteer — and we are thrilled to see his experience recognised internationally.

The English family and Eachamvale have a remarkable connection with the Malanda Show, having exhibited cattle at our Show for more than a century, making this appointment particularly special for our local community.

Congratulations Greg on this very well-deserved opportunity. We know you’ll represent Malanda, Far North Queensland and the Australian dairy industry proudly when you step into the ring in New Zealand next January. 🇦🇺🇳🇿

🎸🪩 BACK TO THE 80s! 🕺✨

Our 2026 Junior Rural Ambassador, Beau Baker, and 2025 Malanda Show Princess, Emily Paulger, joined in the fun at the Maize Festival Street Parade last night!

Getting into the Back to the 80s spirit, Beau and Emily joined Jazmyn Pease’s 2025 Maize Queen float for the parade — can you spot them? 👀🌽

It’s always wonderful to see our Malanda Show Ambassadors out and about in the community, supporting other local events and proudly representing the Malanda Show. 💚

A huge congratulations to the Tablelands Maize Festival Committee on another fantastic festival and street parade. Events like these take an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, and it was great to see the community come together and get involved.

Congratulations to everyone involved! 🌽🎉

✨ Congratulations Bridie Blinco! ✨

The Malanda Show Committee could not be prouder of our very own Bridie, who recently represented the North Queensland Sub Chamber and Malanda Show at the Queensland Country Life Showgirl State Finals 2026, held in conjunction with the incredible 150th Ekka.

What an experience it has been!

From personal development sessions and public speaking, to Government House, Parliament House, meeting people from across Queensland and experiencing all that the Ekka has to offer, Bridie embraced every moment of this incredible opportunity.

And while we are so proud of everything she achieved throughout the week, just look at those photos… this is where Bridie truly shines! ✨

Bright and confident on stage, but perhaps most comfortable with an animal in her arms or standing proudly beside a beef animal. 🐮🤍

There is no doubt that the show ring is where Bridie's heart lies. Her love for agriculture, livestock and our country show community shines through in everything she does.

Bridie, what an achievement and what a journey! We hope you are incredibly proud of yourself — we certainly are. 💚
