Back after a long hiatus, by popular demand....

What makes these trivia nights a bit different is that they are a quiz for quizzers, written by quizzers.
Challenging but always fair.
Every question is written for the event and tested to destruction by a panel of highly pedantic quiz fans.
No use is made of question books or internet question databases.

So... The date is now locked in - 27th June at 7pm for 7:30

There will be group and individual prizes of course.

We've had a lot of requests for another quiz night out at the halls.
For those that haven't been to one of these before, we only run them occasionally, there's a lot of work that goes into them.
What makes them a bit different is that they are a quiz for quizzers, written by quizzers. Challenging but always fair. Every question is written for the event and tested to destruction by a panel of highly pedantic checkers.
No use is made of quiz books or internet question databases.

So... We're looking at the end of June, probably Saturday 27th.

There will be group and individual prizes of course.

🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS: SALA 2026 at Hindmarsh Valley 🎨
We are delighted to announce that the Hindmarsh Valley Art Show is returning this August as part of the 2026 South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival!

Our beautiful, light-filled halls are once again opening their doors to showcase the incredible creative talent of our state. We are now inviting Expressions of Interest from South Australian artists who would like to secure exhibition space for this loved regional event.

While we welcome artists from across SA, priority will be given to those from our local Fleurieu Peninsula community.

Event Highlights:

Professional Gallery Setting: Polished timber floors and natural light.

Artist Reception: Friday evening, 21st August (Bump-in sessions during the day).

Public Exhibition: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August.

✨ A Unique Opportunity:
This year, we are also considering an exciting new option! We are looking for expressions of interest to occupy our smaller, heritage-listed hall as a dedicated space for a single featured artist. If you have a cohesive body of work that would suit an intimate, historic setting, we would love to hear from you.

How to Apply:
Spaces are limited and fill quickly. For more information, please visit our website:

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community! ❤️🎻

We are still floating on air after this afternoon's brilliant concert! What a wonderful way to wind down from Mad March.

A massive congratulations and thank you to the Fleurieu's own South Coast Chamber Orchestra for their stunning performance of ‘From Bach to The Beatles’. It was a beautiful mix of familiar melodies that perfectly set the scene, capped off by a fantastic encore of Glenn Miller’s ‘In The Mood’ that had us all smiling!

We also extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who attended. Your support was incredible, and your ticket sales and donations provided much-needed funds for the Save Our Community Halls Appeal.

Finally, a truly special thank you to the dedicated band of volunteers—including members of the Progress Association, the orchestra itself, and several audience members—who stayed behind to help load all the chairs away. That true community spirit is what makes Hindmarsh Valley such a great place to live.

We couldn't do it without you. Thank you for making it such a successful and enjoyable afternoon.

The Vibe: Relaxed, local, and welcoming.

The Cause: Every cent from your $10 ticket goes directly to the Save Our Community Halls Appeal.

The bar will be open from 2:00 pm, so come early for a quiet drink before the music starts.
