Do you know what famous invention of 1837 gave at least two major global newspapers their names?

If you do, youโ€™re exactly who weโ€™re looking for.

This Saturday, the Hindmarsh Valley Winter Quiz Night returns. This isnโ€™t your average pub trivia downloaded off the internet. Our questions are written entirely from scratch and tested to destruction by a panel of obsessive quizzers (we rejected a third of the first draft just to ensure total accuracy). Expect high production values, visual rounds, and a genuine challenge.

We still have a few tables left, but they are filling fast!

Can you believe it's that time again? We are thrilled to bring you Markets in the Valley this week, with two distinct events designed to support our incredible local artisans and the next generation of makers. Both events take place at our charming Hindmarsh Valley Community Hall on Hindmarsh Tiers Road. Come along and discover something unique!

Event 1: Hindmarsh Valley Night Market
Drop in on your way home or come out for an evening look around! Be there for the first of these regular markets!

WHEN: TONIGHT! Wednesday 3rd June.

TIME: Starting at 5:00 PM.

WHY: The perfect way to browse, buy local, and support our community.

Event 2: Quarterly Kids & Youth Entrepreneurs Market
This one is always tremendously popular! A place where you can see the next generation of skilled local makers show off their wares.

WHEN: NEXT SATURDAY, 6th June.

TIME: 10am - 2pm.

WHY: Celebrate the creativity and business skills of our local youth.

Imagine a market where every stall is run by someone aged 5 to 20. ๐Ÿš

Handmade jewellery. Ocean-inspired artwork. Baked treats. Handcrafted goods brought to life by young makers who dreamed them up, made them, and are now selling them to you.

On 6 June, the Hindmarsh Valley Progress Association invites the whole community to Muthabaringga (Hindmarsh Valley) Hall for the Kids N' Youth Entrepreneurs Winter Market โ€” a vibrant, ocean-themed celebration of creativity, confidence and the next generation of Fleurieu makers.

Come along to browse, buy and cheer on the young entrepreneurs of this coast. Your support means more than you know.

Back after a long hiatus, by popular demand....

What makes these trivia nights a bit different is that they are a quiz for quizzers, written by quizzers.
Challenging but always fair.
Every question is written for the event and tested to destruction by a panel of highly pedantic quiz fans.
No use is made of question books or internet question databases.

So... The date is now locked in - 27th June at 7pm for 7:30

There will be group and individual prizes of course.

We've had a lot of requests for another quiz night out at the halls.
For those that haven't been to one of these before, we only run them occasionally, there's a lot of work that goes into them.
What makes them a bit different is that they are a quiz for quizzers, written by quizzers. Challenging but always fair. Every question is written for the event and tested to destruction by a panel of highly pedantic checkers.
No use is made of quiz books or internet question databases.

So... We're looking at the end of June, probably Saturday 27th.

There will be group and individual prizes of course.
