Stones Corner parkrun

Stones Corner parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am in Hanlon Park. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Stones Corner parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am at Hanlon Park - approximately 5km south east of Brisbane's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local

community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

This week 417 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 64 were first timers and 58 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 27 different clubs took part.

UPDATE: cancelled

Watch this space early Saturday to see if our event goes ahead in the morning. The Cornwall St underpass remains a tad puddly and mucky due to this week’s rain but could still be right to go with a dry night.

It goes without saying though, she will be a morning for your old (or brown) runners if we go ahead!
