We have got some special guests joining our volunteer crew this week! We are still looking for a few critical volunteers to ensure our parkrun can go ahead:

We’re super excited to welcome some volunteers from Port Bouvard SLSC to the Dawesville parkrun community this weekend!
Just like parkrun, Port Bouvard SLSC is powered by volunteers and built around bringing people together in a positive, welcoming environment.

Come along and say hello! 👋 They’ll be sharing more about their upcoming season and how you can get involved — whether that’s surf lifesaving, volunteering, fitness, or simply being part of a great community.

They’ll also have information about their Open Day on Sunday 20 September, so if you’ve ever been curious about what they do, make sure you stop by for a chat! (*there is no official affiliation between Port Bouvard SLSC and parkrun).

Volunteers + parkrun + surf lifesaving = one pretty great Saturday morning. 🌊💜

What a beautiful morning for a parkrun!
111 people walked, ran, jogged, pranced or skipped their way around our beautiful course this morning!
And behind every one of those 111 finishers were 13 amazing volunteers making the magic happen. ✨
A HUGE thank you to: Becky Caitlyn, Kathryn, Maddie, Mike, Rachel, Tommy, Sally, Samuel, Sarah, Stewart and Sue.
You gave up your Saturday morning so everyone else could enjoy theirs 💜
Whether you smashed out a PB, enjoyed a leisurely stroll, chased the kids, chased a friend, or simply made it to the start line… you made Dawesville Parkrun #565 what it was. 🥰

Benji was a Turnaround Marshal (as his paws can’t work a mobile phone to be a token scanner)
