Chermside parkrun

Chermside parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run/walk put on by the community for the community at 7am ev The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Chermside parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful environment and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Print out your barcode to bring along to the run, then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Happy Tuesday Superstars! 🤩 We've got a Parkrun party to throw this Saturday the 7th of November, but the guest list is missing a few crucial attendees... 🎉 Time Keeper, 2 Tail Walkers, Park Walker, and a photographer to capture our best 'I'm-not-really-tired' faces 😴. Let's fill these roles and get this party started so we can coast through the rest of the week and crush it on Saturday! 💪

Zombie Alert! 🚨 We're just a few brains short of a full crew for Saturday the 31st... 🧠 1 barcode scanner, Finish tokens, Marshal, and a Photographer to capture our undead moments 📸. Don't want to be zombie bait? 🤯 Volunteer and you'll be spared... allegedly 😂. Zombies don't eat volunteers, right? 🤔

ROSTER ALERT! 🚨 Our Saturday the 31st crew is looking like a sad, sad party 🎉... and we need YOUR help to turn it around! 🤩 We're on the hunt for: Timekeeper (no snoozing allowed ⏰), Finish Tokens (you know, for all the winning 🏆), Funnel Manager (because who doesn't love a good funnel? 🎂), 2 x Bar Code Scanners (scanning like pros, not amateurs 📊), Marshall (our very own superhero 🦸‍♂️), Tail Walker (no, it's not as boring as it sounds, we promise 😜), and a Photographer (to capture all the glory and/or shame 📸). Can our legends come together and save the day (and our roster) by Friday? 🤔 Let's do this! 💪

Hey Superstars! 🌟 It's almost Parkrun day (aka the best day of the week, duh!) and our roster is almost as full as our bellies after a post-run breakfast 🍳. We're on the hunt for a Marshal to keep us in line and... (drumroll please)... a Photographer to capture our soggy, smiley faces! 📸 So, grab your galoshes and your favorite old shoes, and get ready to splash, dash, and possibly slip 'n slide through those puddles at Chermside Parkrun tomorrow! 🏃‍♀️💦
