Queensland Half Marathon

We would like to bring to your attention information regarding the Qld Half Marathon for this year.

The Race Promotions team have decided that Qld Half Marathon will not go ahead in 2024.

We know that we have a dedicated support crew of runners and helpers who have enjoyed taking part in this event over the past years. However, the cost of road closures and increase in general costings of hosting a small event have significantly increased in the past year making it no longer viable. We had applied for grants and sponsorship, but unfortunately have been unsuccessful in gaining sufficient funding to help cover the event going ahead.
We would like to thank all the enquiries and offers of help.

We wish you all the best with your training and events, and look forward to see you all on the road.

Thanks to everyone for supporting our event today. One of our fabulous volunteers has shared these photos from the Moora Park turn today on the half.
There will be more photos to come - our fantastic event photographer David will post them here once he has had time to go through them.
Until then, rest those weary legs! We heard plenty of PBs were achieved today!

Spectacular scenes this morning as we tested out the course for tomorrow’s Qld Half. Online entries are now closed but we will be taking race morning entries on-site at Decker Park until 15min before each start time. A $5 late fee will be charged for race morning entries - and donated to the Hear and Say Foundation.

visit Wildfire Sports & Trek - Douglas St, Milton between 11am and 2pm on Friday 9 June 2023 to collect your race number/timing ready for race morning. The team at Wildfire have a huge range of running related items including nutrition, hydration, socks and the latest running shoes!
Please note - only entries PRIOR to 6pm Thu 8/6/23 will be available to collect at this location.
