Last chance to apply for a role working with the City of Greater Bendigo's Creative City team as an Arts Admin Assistant. We are looking for someone interested in getting paid experience delivering an arts project, as part of the Emerging Artsworker Internship program.

The Arts Admin Assistant will work on the View St Artist Market in November and the 2027 Eat.Drink.Art Program, with tasks including liaising with artists and businesses, marketing, and event delivery.

LAI will host a smoking ceremony and morning tea to celebrate with Dja Dja Wurrung artists Aunty Marilyn Nicholls and Rebecca Phillips. Join us up View street for a cuppa and a yarn.

Join us to celebrate the launch of our latest façade commission, by Dja Dja Wurrung artists Aunty Marilyne Nicholls and Rebecca Phillips. We will celebrate the launch of this incredible new commission with a Smoking Ceremony, snacks and refreshments in our courtyard.

This is the first La Trobe Art Institute façade commission by Dja Dja Wurrung artists, and we thank Aunty Marilyne and Rebecca for their generosity and trust throughout its development.

I picked up my Bendigo Open Studio guide from artbystevenstanley today out at the Little Red Cottage in Maiden Gully. I’ve ear marked as many studios as I can for the weekend… 50 artists is A LOT!
waiting to enjoy a Comedy show now as part of the bendigocomfest. Let’s see some MAGIC!!

Here are a few creative things I've been up to in September...

1) Lifeline Loddon Mallee Hello for Hope fundraising luncheon. A super fun get together hosted by our local Lifeline team encouraging workplaces to explore creative ways that they can fundraise and support training volunteers and program development for better mental health outcomes across our region

2) My Mob exhibition opening at the fab Dja Djuwima gallery at the Bendigo Visitors Centre. So much talent in this space and exciting to see new names as part of this experience.

3) Road trip to Shepparton recently to see the regional tour of the 2026 Archibald Prize. The portraits were absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed taking in the young local talent as part of the Young Archie exhibition, all from Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region.
