ADN Events & Traffic Management
Good afternoon, Southampton.
Following a number of recent posts published by Woolston & District Trades & Labour Club and The Gardeners Arms, I feel it is important to address the situation publicly and clarify ADN Events' position.
Firstly, I want to reassure members of the public, our customers, traders, ticket holders and supporters that ADN Events strongly disputes the allegations and suggestions that have been made about the company.
There was a written agreement in place between ADN Events and Woolston & District Trades & Labour Club. We retain records of the communications relating to this agreement, including conversations, screenshots, comments and published posts. We are therefore confident that we have the necessary documentation to support our position.
Following our decision to withdraw our planned events from Woolston & District Trades & Labour Club, ADN Events entered into discussions with The Gardeners Arms regarding a potential new home for our upcoming entertainment events.
During an in-person conversation, we were given confirmation that The Gardeners Arms was happy to host our upcoming concert. We also discussed, and received agreement in principle for, a small pop-up box office within the pub to assist with ticket sales.
Following these discussions, we became aware of further communications involving representatives of Woolston & District Trades & Labour Club and The Gardeners Arms. Subsequently, communication between ADN Events and The Gardeners Arms ceased, and we became aware of further public statements containing allegations that we also dispute.
We have retained copies of the relevant communications, screenshots and posts. Given the nature of the situation, the information and supporting documentation have been passed to the police for their consideration. We will not be commenting further on the specifics of any ongoing enquiries.
ADN Events is a business built through hard work, commitment and determination.
As anyone who has started a business will understand, the first year of trading is not easy. It takes countless hours, financial commitment, dedication and a great deal of determination to build something from the ground up.
We have worked hard to establish ADN Events, build relationships with local communities, support independent traders and bring entertainment and opportunities to Southampton.
I will not allow unsubstantiated allegations or public criticism to undermine the work that has gone into building this company.
I am more than happy to stand by the work we do, the agreements we enter into and the decisions we make. However, I also believe that businesses should be able to operate professionally, communicate honestly and treat one another with respect.
ADN Events will not be drawn into a public back-and-forth. We have our records, we have retained the relevant evidence, and we will allow the appropriate channels to deal with the matters raised.
Our focus remains where it has always been: our customers, our traders, our events and the future of ADN Events.
To everyone who has supported us, purchased tickets, traded with us, attended our events or simply taken the time to send a supportive message, thank you.
We are still here, we are still working hard, and we are not giving up.
