A NEW CHAPTER FOR YOUTH RODEO

We’re proud to announce a milestone addition to the Yass River Co Rodeo weekend, with a dedicated Junior Rodeo on Friday 20 November, proudly hosted in partnership with Southern Zone ABCRA.

Then, on Saturday 21 November, we go again with the full Yass River Co Rodeo.

This is more than an extra afternoon of rodeo… It’s an investment in the future of our sport.

Creating opportunities for our junior competitors is a key part of our commitment to developing the next generation of rodeo athletes, giving young competitors the chance to gain experience, build confidence and compete on the big stage.

The North has been good to Clay Bush! Clay Bush Performance Horses

Fresh off a win at the Curry Merry Muster Festival, the cowboy from Yass, NSW has backed it up in a big way, claiming the 2026 Mount Isa Mines Rodeo Rope & Tie title, sponsored by Gidgee Healing

Clay showed that experience and hard work pay off, posting an 11.05 in the first round, followed by a 12.35 in the second, finishing with an aggregate of 23.4 to take the top spot and the coveted Mount Isa Rodeo buckle.

It was a tight battle, with Jackson Dixson finishing second on 24.5, while Tyler Kenny rounded out the podium in third with 30.2 for the average.
