Trying to cross things off your bucket list, but don’t have people around you who are down for the adventure? AdventurUs brings women together through retreats, camps, and trips built around getting outside, trying new things, and making real connections along the way.

Missing the feeling of summer camp? Camp AdventurUs starts in June with campfires, outdoor activities, and all the nostalgic summer camp vibes. Want to go whitewater rafting? They’ve got an Idaho rafting trip coming up this August. They also host international trips throughout the year with plenty of adventure and activities packed in!

Have a lovely Memorial Day Weekend ❤️

This long weekend, we remember and honor those who made it possible for us to experience the freedom of wandering open roads, climbing mountains, walking mossy forest trails, and exploring the wild places we’re lucky to call ours.

Wherever this weekend takes you, we hope it includes fresh air, reflection, and a little adventure!

If you capture any fun moments this weekend, send us a DM or email your photos so we can share your adventure with the community! See you out there!

So turns out… not all the snow has melted yet!!!

WOC team member, Cameon, is always the first and last gal on her skis every season, and honestly, it’s no surprise to us that she’s still finding snow on the mountain. If you’re up for a hike, Paradise at Mount Rainier National Park is still holding onto plenty of snow and ready for a few good turns.

Do you know of a patch of snow that somehow survived the start of summer? Let us know your spot! ⛷️

❤️Our dear friend and key supporter of the Women’s Outdoor Connection community, Lilas, lost her mother unexpectedly this morning.

Many knew Marion as “Mormor,” which means mother to all. She had a lovely Danish accent, a beautiful heart, and a way of making people feel welcome and cared for. She will be deeply missed by many.

Life can change quickly. Hug your loved ones a little tighter today.

Sharing these words from Lilas’ brother, Rene Rocky Ellis.

In Loving Memory of Marion Nowicki

This morning, the world became a little quieter as my mother, Marion Nowicki, passed peacefully in her sleep. While her departure was gentle, the impact of her absence is anything but. She was more than a mother—she was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a reminder of what it means to care deeply and live with purpose.

Marion lived a life rooted in resilience and love. She carried herself with a quiet dignity, the kind that didn’t seek recognition but earned it effortlessly. Whether through her words, her actions, or simply the way she showed up for those around her, she left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

To me, she was everything a mother should be and more. She taught lessons that weren’t always spoken—about perseverance, kindness, and how to keep going even when life didn’t make it easy. Those lessons don’t fade; they become part of who I am.

There’s something profound about knowing she passed peacefully. It reflects the grace with which she lived her life. Still, no amount of peace softens the reality that she’s no longer here to talk to, laugh with, or simply sit beside.

Today is filled with reflection—on memories, on moments, on the countless ways she shaped our lives. And while there is grief, there is also gratitude. Gratitude for the time we had, for the foundation she built, and for the love that doesn’t end just because she’s gone.

Her story doesn’t stop here. It continues through the lives she touched, the family she raised, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Mom.
You were deeply loved—and always will be.“

Lilas…we love you.

May is Mental Health Month and it feels like the perfect reminder to get outside and reset.

Time in nature does more than just get you out of the house. It helps lower stress, lift your mood, and bring a little clarity back into your day. Fresh air, movement, and a change of scenery can go a long way.

A few simple ways to lean into it this month:
• Spend 30 minutes outside each day, even if it is just a walk
• Slow down and notice your surroundings, the sounds, the light, the air
• Head to the water for a calm, grounding reset
• Leave your phone behind when you can
• Join a local outing or invite someone along... or join a group! We can help! 😉

It does not have to be a big adventure to matter. Getting outside, even in small ways, can shift your whole day. Come be part of it with Women’s Outdoor Connection!

We’re a little sad too… but here’s the thing, melting snow just means it’s time for something new!

Hiking trails open up, rivers start flowing, and suddenly there’s a whole new season to explore. Rafting, paddling, longer days outside, it all starts now!

Different pace, different places, same reason to get out there!!
