The Metro just got its first full board of the year!

Prep Prospect Report’s Greater Orlando Top 50 is not a popularity list. It is tape, frame, production, and Week 4 proof stacked on top of what we already knew.

Fred Ards III stays No. 1. The Jones edge is 6-5, 220, Class of 2027, and Week 4 against Lake Highland did not change the evaluation. Sack. Blocked field goal. The same first-step problem for tackles that has been on film since last winter.

Behind him the board is a Jones wall and a skill-group argument. Taihj Moore (DeLand, 2028) holds No. 2 as the best young back in the footprint. AJ Chung (West Orange, 2028) is No. 3 because the box score in the Shield game was quiet and the evaluation was not.

Noah Robinson and Braylon Otis keep Jones’ interior and edge identity intact at 4 and 6. Jaelyn Powell is the Edgewater hammer at 5. That is the floor of this list. Everything after that is movement.

WK4 blew the middle of the board open!

Will Jackson did not sneak into the Top 10. He kicked the door. Seventeen of 22, 383 yards, three touchdowns in Evans’ 38-14 win over Winter Park. Maryland already has the 6-4, 205-pound 2027 quarterback. Greater Orlando just got the public reminder. He lands at No. 7.
Cale Britt jumped because the play was the kind that ends debates. Sixty-five-yard interception return for a touchdown against Lake Highland Prep. Wisconsin commit. Bishop Moore linebacker. Class of 2028. He sits at No. 10.

Brian Dillard is the other Evans riser. Eighty-five-yard touchdown, USF commit, 6-0, 170, Class of 2027. No. 13. When Jackson went vertical, Dillard was the answer.

Elijah Nickerson closed the first poster at No. 25 the way Lake Nona drew it up when they waited on him. Two passing scores and a 16-yard touchdown run in a 24-3 win over Edgewater. Dual-threat frame. 2028. The Metro saw why.

Slade Wittstock is a new addition to the list. Lake Mary. Offensive line. 6-2, 290. Class of 2027. Starting lineman on the 2025 Class 7A state champions. School lineman of the year. Center who can play all five spots. Colgate already in.

Ards. Robinson. Otis. Dajour Webb (No. 9, two sacks in Week 4). Ke’Sean Williams. Reggie Harris. Antwoine Glover II still on board. That is seven Tigers in the 50 before you count anyone else on Orange Avenue. The 2027 class at Jones is the deepest single-school group in Central Florida, and Week 4 against Lake Highland was another night of the defensive line deciding the game.

Sebastian Galeano opens it at 26 after 300 yards and four touchdowns. Yale commit. Oviedo. Johnnie Cobbs is 32 after 19 carries for 180. Same offense, same Friday.

Nate Watkins holds 27 as the Ocoee quarterback who took the Knights to the lip of a Shield steal. Corey Glenn Jr. is the new 28. West Orange. DB/ATH. 5-10, 155. Class of 2028. Pick-six already this season. INT, forced fumble, fumble recover. Week 4 tape against Ocoee.

Brycen Marbrey (Lake Howell, 2028) is 30 with the arm talent that already has Power conference mail. Yuto Kawamura-Johnson and Jayden Ammons keep West Orange’s 2027 skill group on the paper at 35 and 36. Grant Gaston, Nalin Rogers, Mason Wills, and Jordan Banks are the Week 4 defensive splash names that earned a spot. Duke Carpenter (Geneva, 6-5, 255, 2027) is the length piece at 47. Kaleb Bielski closes the board at 50 after five touchdown passes for Innovation.

It is the first honest 50-deep look at the Metro’s next two recruiting classes after four weeks of real games. Jones up front. West Orange and Evans on the perimeter. Bishop Moore in the box. Lake Mary in the trenches. Lake Nona and Ocoee with 2028 quarterbacks who already have starting tape. Oviedo with a complete Friday night. DeLand and Seminole with splash-play defenders.

The watchlist is live. The next Friday can move a name. It cannot invent one.

WEEK 4 RECAP — GREATER ORLANDO AREA

First meetings got decided. A Shield game went to the last kick. Then Friday finished it with a shutout that flipped the area hierarchy. The slate delivered.

THE SHIELD

No. 5 West Orange 13, Ocoee 12
Four straight in the Shield for the Warriors. Senior RB Jayden Ammons broke a 34-yard touchdown at 8:01 of the third that held up as the winner. Ocoee’s Kamari Shaw had opened it with a 58-yard run. The Knights had a 40-yard field goal to steal it in the final seconds and missed. AJ Chung was bottled — 8-of-16, 115 yards. Winter Garden stays unbeaten at 4-0. Ocoee falls to 2-2.

FIRST MEETING

No. 13 Lake Nona 24, No. 4 Edgewater 3
Biggest win in Lions program history. Edgewater had been 49-5 against Orange County Public Schools teams since 2017. That streak died at Nemours. QB Eli Nickerson returned from injury and dropped two touchdown passes plus a 16-yard scoring run. Andres Quintero added a 28-yard field goal. The Eagles managed a field goal and nothing else. Lake Nona 3-1. Edgewater 2-2.

DOWNTOWN

No. 3 Jones 24, Boone 9
The Tigers defense ran the night: three sacks, an interception, a blocked punt, a blocked field goal, Boone held to 156 yards and no offensive touchdown until the last possession. DaJour Webb had two sacks. Texas A&M commit Fred Ards added a sack and blocked a field goal. Jayden Donaldson picked off Jake Nassar. Peyton Carroll was efficient (14-of-18, 132 yards) when Jones had a short field. Jones 2-1. Boone 1-2.

PPR Player of the Game: DaJour Webb, Jones — 2 sacks in a defense that never let Boone breathe.

Honor: Fred Ards — sack + blocked FG.

THE BOUNCE-BACK

No. 10 Evans 38, No. 14 Winter Park 14
Six days after the Soul Bowl loss to Jones, Evans dropped 38 on Winter Park. Team line: 398 passing yards, 199 rushing. Maryland QB commit William Jackson got the offense moving after a short week. Evans 2-2. Winter Park 2-2.

PPR Player of the Game: William Jackson, Evans — the engine of a 38-point response.

Defending 7A champion walked into Spec Martin and got punched. DeLand held Lake Mary to 124 total yards. Dual-threat Gardner Nordman threw for 124, ran for 61, threw an 18-yard TD to Korion Ross, scored on 2- and 3-yard runs, and added an interception on defense. Taihj Moore opened it with a 6-yard run. Bulldogs 2-1. Rams 1-2.

Jaziah Battle returned the opening kick 80 yards. Deuce Woods threw two touchdowns and ran for one — including a score to former South Lake DB JuJu White. Brycsen Robb scored twice, one from 52. Hyquez Russell punched in another. TFA 4-0. Next: IMG Academy.

PPR ORLANDO WEEK 4

Lake Nona Arrives!

Prep Prospect Report tagged two Orlando Thursday night games as Games of the Week. Both delivered.

No. 13 Lake Nona put together the most complete night in program history and flattened No. 3 Edgewater 24-3.

Lake Nona is 3-1. Edgewater sits at 2-2. The west side still belongs to the Warriors. The Metro just got a new problem.

This was supposed to be Edgewater’s bounce-back from the TFA loss. It became Lake Nona’s coming-out party.

The Lions (3-1) held a Super 16 top-three team to a field goal. Edgewater was already without sophomore back Jahmari Hammonds (2029) for a second straight week. Lake Nona’s rebuilt front seven — DT Darren White-Jackson, LB Anthony Moreno, S Charles Woodson Jr., plus transfers S Taebor Williams, DE Mackenzi Aldeus, and LB Jacob Duffy — finished the job. Three second-half stands ended on downs.

Elijah Nickerson (2028, QB) returned from a two-game suspension and played like the offense had been waiting on him. Two touchdown passes. A 16-yard rushing score where he shed tacklers to the end zone. Andres Quintero added a 28-yard field goal to make it 24-3 with 1:08 left.

Edgewater had been 49-5 against Orange County Public Schools teams over a 10-year span. Four of those five losses were to Jones. The fifth was Boone in 2017. Lake Nona just wrote its name into that list — and the Sentinel called it the biggest win in program history.
