The holidays are headed to Galveston! 🎄❄️

Today, the Rotary Club of Orange welcomed Jared Schaller, Public Relations Manager for Moody Gardens, for a sneak peek at their upcoming Holiday in the Gardens festivities!

Jared shared highlights including the ICE LAND Caribbean Christmas exhibit, holiday lights trail, ice skating, and the new “A Very Electric Christmas” live show. We also learned that ICE LAND features more than two million pounds of ice kept at a chilly 9 degrees! 🧊

Thank you, Jared, for sharing the excitement and giving us some fun ideas for making holiday memories!

🌎 October 24 is World Polio Day!

In 1979, Rotary volunteers administered drops of oral polio vaccine to children at a health center in the Philippines. That effort sparked a worldwide movement and a shared call to action: end polio.

The Rotary Club of Orange is proud to be part of this mission. Every child deserves the chance to grow, play, and thrive without this preventable disease.

Together, we can end polio. 💛 Learn how you can help at endpolio.org.

Thank you to Orange County District and County Attorney Krispen Walker Winfree for speaking to the Rotary Club of Orange today.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, she shared a powerful case study from a murder trial she prosecuted, highlighting the manipulation and emotional abuse that preceded the tragic deaths of a young woman and her new boyfriend.

Her presentation was a sobering reminder of the importance of recognizing abuse, supporting victims, and raising awareness in our community. 💜
