Penalty for not making this deadline is your fair check will not be released until

Annual Grimes County Fair Board Meeting

7:00 p.m.

Article IV Section 2 of the GCFA Bylaws states that, “It shall be the duty of a nominating committee to select nominees with a view of keeping the Board of Directors representative of the important geographical, economic, cultural, and other interests of Grimes County and of the Association. Nominees and Directors shall be paid up annual or life-time members.

Article IV Section 10 states that, ‘The President of the Board of Directors shall preside at all meetings of the Board and Membership. He shall perform all duties incident to his office and such action as deemed by him likely to increase the effectiveness of the Association. He shall form all committees, as necessary, with the Chairman(s) being elected by the Board of Directors.

At the July 14th Regular Monthly Meeting of the Grimes County Fair Board, Board President Kelley Bonnert, formed a Nominating Committee consisting of Vice President Kyle Bostick, Board Member Michael Kimich, and Association Member Rhonda Sechelski to identify nominees for the 2026 Annual Meeting Board of Directors Election.

They will be reaching out and communicating with individuals to recommend as nominees to the membership at the August 18th Annual Meeting of the GCFA. (http://gcfa.if/) If you have interest in serving on the Board of Directors of the GCFA you are welcome and encouraged to contact one of these individuals. The nomination list will be finalized following the August 11th Regular Monthly Meeting of the GCFA.

There are 3 open postions on the 2026-2027 Fair Board. Members will be handed a ballot with the names of each nominee listed. Members may select up to 3 names.

July 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the GoTexan building.

If you have not picked up your Premium Sale pictures, they can be picked up from 6 to 7 on this day also.

There are two different list.

One has the exhibitor (alphabetical by first name) listed with buyers and add ons addresses.

Second one has exhibitor (by lot number) listed with buyer and add on designations.

Thank you notes are due by July 1, 2026.
You can either mail them to P O Box 630, Anderson or you can drop them off between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at 136 Austin St, Anderson.
