📢 NOW HIRING: Fairground Maintenance Supervisor
The Delaware County Fair Board is seeking a dependable, hands-on professional to join its team as a Full-Time Fairground Maintenance Supervisor.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the Delaware County Fairgrounds, preparation of facilities for events, operation of maintenance equipment, and supervision of assigned and seasonal personnel.
🔧 Position Highlights:
- Full-time, nonexempt position
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- On-call and occasional evening/weekend hours as needed
- Supervises seasonal and assigned staff
- Maintains buildings, grounds, and event facilities
- Performs mowing, trimming, painting, cleaning, snow removal, and general repairs
- Operates tractors, skid loaders, mowers, pressure washers, welders, and other maintenance equipment
- Coordinates facility setup and preparation for events
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Valid Indiana driver's license and safe driving record
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a drug test
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying more than 50 pounds
- Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, equipment operation, and general maintenance knowledge is preferred
🌦️ This is a hands-on position with much of the work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. We're looking for someone who can work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, supervise staff, and take pride in keeping the Delaware County Fairgrounds safe, clean, and ready for the community.
