MKFD 5K Run

The 2025 MKFD Fired Up 5K and Kids Dash is complete. Thank you to all the racing participants. This was our second largest turnout ever. We hope to see you all next year!
I would just like to extend appreciation and thank you to all of our Event Sponsors and Gift Donations we received for the race. Included in all of your race packets was a list of all the vendors who assisted, please try their establishments. It will be worth your trip!
Thank you to the Village of Mount Kisco, the Members of the Mount Kisco FD, the Mount Kisco VAC, Millwood Fire Department, the Westchester County Police and Deputy Sheriffs for making it the safest day possible.
Thank you to Rescuestuff for getting our event shirts to us in time for the race!
Finally thank you to Maria Zaccari for all of her efforts to make the race go as smoothly as possible.

Where can I possibly start? I’d like to start with thank you. When the MKFD took possession of the race in 2022 we had no idea what this race was, nor what it would become. This year, we had 976 racers sign up and 819 racers cross the start line. This was the largest turnout that this race has ever seen. We know that this turnout was due to a large part to the tribute of our friend Kathy Tilden. What a beautiful tribute it was, especially from Marshall and Katelyn. We hope that this can be a yearly pilgrimage for people to remember and honor Kathy. We are working on bringing this year’s run to a close, but not before some much needed rest. This race is no easy feat, thank you to all the MKFD members and spouses who continue to help me make this run a success year after year. Thank you to our loyal sponsors who back us year after year. Without them, this would not be possible. Thank you to the Village of Mt. Kisco for their assistance with road closures, refuse pickup and everything else they assist us with. Thank you to the Westchester County Police for providing traffic closures and watching out for all of us the day of the race. Thank you to Mount Kisco EMS for providing us multiple ambulances and crews for our event year after year, ready to care for anyone that may get hurt or fall ill. (Almost forgot to mention them, sorry guys). In closing, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the participants. This event is a labor of love, hopefully we continue to rise to the occasion! We hope to see you all next year, let’s see if we can break 1,000 participants. We are and will continue to be
