Today marks a historic moment for the City of Miami and for the global electronic music community as the Miami City Commission approves a long-term agreement structured in successive terms totaling up to 20 years, extending a longstanding and defining partnership with the City built over three decades and reinforcing Miami’s standing as a global center for electronic dance music.

This decision reflects a level of trust and confidence that we do not take lightly. Today’s vote reflects a clear mandate from the residents of the City of Miami and the broader community, carried forward through the action of the Miami City Commission. We are grateful to the Mayor, the Chairwoman and members of the City Commission, City staff, the Bayfront Park Management Trust and its Chair, the Miami DDA, and other key stakeholders for their leadership, partnership, and continued support.

Ultra Music Festival brings people from around the world to Miami to share in electronic music, art, and culture. With that comes a responsibility to produce the event thoughtfully, making ongoing operational improvements and actively exploring new technologies to minimize impacts on the surrounding community and advance sustainability and stewardship.

We extend particular thanks to the residents who have engaged with us in good faith over the years, whose voices and accountability have helped to cement the brand as a permanent fixture in the City.

Earth Day isn’t a just moment. It’s a mission. 

To celebrate, we’re proud to share the impact of this year’s Mission: Home sustainability program. ➡️
The numbers keep building… surpassing 500,000 pounds of waste diverted and 100,000 pounds of resources donated back to our community.

Some more highlights from this year:
🤝 766 volunteers helped protect Bayfront Park through community engagement initiatives, including the Mission: Home Cleanup Countdown with  
🪽4,000 souvenir cups powered our first reusable cup pilot 
🌱100% of food vendors offered plant-based options, and 84% of vendors were local 
⚡We became the first major electronic music festival in the U.S. to successfully power a stage with zero-emission batteries alongside .energy, , and .
