Come walk with us on Tuesday, June 16 and learn about the history and evolution of Bragg Jam and what’s in store for this year’s Concert Crawl. (If you haven’t got your tickets yet, we really recommend you come to this. We may have something special for you!😉)

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, for our last Walk ‘n’ Talk of the season!
đŸŽžđŸ„đŸŽ€ Bragg Jam President Olivia Walter is taking us on a tour of Downtown, highlighting historic venues and stories from the festival’s evolution over the years. Along the way, you’ll get an inside look at what’s in store for this year’s Concert Crawl and learn how Bragg Jam continues to shape Macon’s music ecosystem.

Meet us on the sidewalk in front of the Rookery at 6:00 PM. Wear comfy shoes and bring water. Walk is roughly 2 miles. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Thank you to Piedmont Macon for sponsoring our 2026 Walk ‘n’ Talk series.

Bragg Jam Then & Now Stroll

06/12/2026

We are heartbroken to share the passing of John Harrison, a friend, supporter, visionary, and an irreplaceable part of the Bragg Jam story.

While many know Johnny as a beloved member of The Buckleys, his impact on Bragg Jam runs just as deep. In 2003, Johnny helped lead the effort to transform Bragg Jam from a friendly annual jam session into a nonprofit organization and the citywide Concert Crawl experience that thousands enjoy today. His vision helped lay the foundation for what Bragg Jam has become and what it continues to be.

For more than two decades, Johnny remained one of Bragg Jam’s biggest champions. He believed in the power of live music to bring people together, strengthen community, and keep Macon’s creative spirit alive. He showed up, cheered artists on, shared stories, and reminded all of us why this work matters.

Even in his final days, Johnny’s love for Bragg Jam never faded. He joked that Bragg Jam owed him gas money because he had spent so much time driving around listening to the first episode of Bragg Jam Radio Hour. That’s who Johnny was, always listening, always supporting, always encouraging.

His fingerprints are all over this organization and this music community. The legacy he helped build will continue to echo through every stage, every venue, every song, and every musician who finds a place at Bragg Jam. We are sharing a clip of John performing with The Buckleys at our 2020 Concert Crawl so you can see him doing what he loved most.

Thank you, Johnny, for believing in Bragg Jam, for believing in Macon, and for helping keep the love of music alive. Your spirit will forever be part of this city, and your memory will forever be part of Bragg Jam.

Get familiar with Improvement Movement. đŸ‘ïž

Atlanta-based and built for the stage, these four have been fixtures of the city’s music scene for years and they bring every bit of that experience with them. Fresh off a spring tour opening for Iron & Wine, they’re coming to Macon on July 25 ready to play.

The best introduction? Hit play on the track above and then go fall down the rabbit hole of their catalog. You’ll get the idea fast.
