Loscon LOSCON: Los Angeles' longest running Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention, held Thanksgiving weekend The event was so enjoyable that it was repeated in 1976.

Loscon 51, a gathering of writers and fans of all ages, with common interests in Fantasy, Science Fiction, Cosplay, Film, STEM, Art and Music. Held over Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 28-30, 2025) at the LAX Hilton on Century Blvd. Our history:
In December 1975 the Los Angeles Science Fantasy prepared LA 2000, a special convention to celebrate the club's 2,000th meeting. At this time it moved to October to honor the club's anniversary and called itself LOSCON for the first time. It was held twice in 1977, the second that year being the first with an official guest of honor, Dr. Jerry Pournelle. By 1978 it had finally settled into an annual November affair, the Los Angeles Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention. Then starting with LOSCON 9 in 1982, the Thanksgiving weekend was chosen and became subsequently the traditional date. https://linktr.ee/loscon

Be the crew, report to the bridge!

Artemis is a Spaceship Bridge Simulator where players assume the jobs of Captain, Helm, Science, Communication, Engineering, and Weapon Control. Together you operate your ship and defend the sector from evil aliens. Artemis simulates spaceship bridges by networking several computers together. One screen acts as the “main screen” of a bridge, while others serve as stations for the normal jobs a bridge crew might do.

Artemis is a social game where several players work together on each bridge, and one player plays the Captain, who doesn’t have a station but tells everyone else what to do. Multiple bridges can participate together in cooperative multi-ship missions.

Each simulation runs 30 minutes. Players can drop in any time.
The simulator will run from 10am-10pm each day of Loscon 52
