SEC Football officially kicked off Thursday but we all know this is the day most Southern football fans have been waiting for.

Unsurprisingly, we don’t follow it much around here. On Saturdays we have weddings so we’re usually cheering for whoever our couple wants us to.

It’s also a very common misconception that in the South, Fall weddings aren’t popular due to football schedules. We don’t know how to tell y’all this but most folks don’t plan the start of forever around a sports schedule nor should they. The people who love you most will be there and if they don’t come then you don’t have to serve them dinner or drinks 😉

Just a little throwback to Morgan and Trevor‘s wedding back in October 2019. I was looking for a specific photo earlier and stopped when I saw this one. So good!

We are thrilled that our fall season has kicked off and we will be going strong pretty much every weekend between now and Christmas. We enjoyed a short summer break, but y’all know we love our weddings too!

Having a buffet centerpiece adds height, color, and style to a room that would otherwise feel like something was missing.

A flat buffet without color and texture can look like a cafeteria line real quick but flowers can elevate just about anything!

There’s just something about a groom in a tux… but add a white dinner jacket and suddenly we’re talking James Bond meets Southern gentleman. Josh and his groomsmen look sharp in this look and thanks to handheld fans they also held up perfectly on a late August day.

If you’re on the fence about a first look, hear us out. We’ve never had a couple regret doing one (ever, in 20 years!) On the other hand, there have been more than a few who wished they had ultimately done one.

We aren’t here to sway you in either direction BUT let these first look pictures from Katie + Griffin’s April wedding speak for themselves. Starting your afternoon off in each other’s arms, in each others presence really does steer the direction of the rest of your day.

There are a lot of ways to tell if a couple has truly had the best day of their lives. Our favorite is when they hug us and tell us so but another way is when they never step off of the dancefloor.

Claire + Sims danced for four hours straight with their guests and who can blame them? They had a beautiful tent, one of our most favorite DJs, the most perfect Spring evening you can picture, and a crowd full of loved ones surrounding them.
