Our annual festival is a TV festival like no other, bringing together independent artists and industry pros for 5 full days of panels, screenings, networking, parties, and more! One of our favorite moments at SeriesFest each year is celebrating the talented directors who make up our Women Directing Mentorship semi-finalists and announcing the next recipient alongside our partners at .

Since launching the program in 2019, we’ve met *so* many talented filmmakers with different backgrounds, experiences, and approaches to directing. We’re proud to be part of a program that creates opportunities for emerging women directors & to have seen the impact it’s had over the years.

Applications for the 8th mentorship cycle close November 3! The selected director will have the opportunity to shadow a director on an episode of a original series.

If you’re an early-career woman director, we’d love to see your work. And if someone comes to mind as you’re reading this, please tag them!

Semien joins writers Jenny Rachel Weiner (MULE) and Elijah Guo (CECIL’S WORLD) for an intensive three-day lab in Denver, where they’ll work alongside industry mentors to develop original episodic stories that challenge perceptions of aging through nuanced, authentic, and surprising portrayals of older adults.
