The BMW Dallas Marathon, affectionately known to some as the Dallas White Rock Marathon or simply 'The Rock', is a marathon that’s been run in Dallas since 1971. The over-arching organization, runDallas, hosts year-round events culminating with Dallas’ largest and Texas’ longest running marathon weekend: the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival. Now in its 51st running, the marquee property attracts runners from across the globe and hundreds of thousands of spectators to Dallas’ largest single-day sporting event. The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival courses highlight the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, entertainment districts and iconic Dallas landmarks. The marathon is recognized as the official marathon of the City of Dallas and is a Boston qualifying race. Since naming a primary beneficiary in 1997, the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival has donated more than $4 million to Scottish Rite for Children. For more information, please visit www.runDallas.com. We Remember.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who came together in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives forever changed and the spirit of unity, resilience, and service that emerged from one of our nation's darkest days.

We will never forget.
