The BMW Dallas Marathon, affectionately known to some as the Dallas White Rock Marathon or simply 'The Rock', is a marathon that’s been run in Dallas since 1971. The over-arching organization, runDallas, hosts year-round events culminating with Dallas’ largest and Texas’ longest running marathon weekend: the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival. rs from across the globe and hundreds of thousands of spectators to Dallas’ largest single-day sporting event. The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival courses highlight the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, entertainment districts and iconic Dallas landmarks. The marathon is recognized as the official marathon of the City of Dallas and is a Boston qualifying race.
