Pono Acres

Pono Acres Pono Acres farm is a unique event facility hosting private events, live music and farm tours. Pono is the Hawaiian word for harmony with nature.

OUR STORY: Established in 2011, Pono Acres is a mutual dream that started when an Oregon country girl met a Californian surfer at the University of Oregon in 1986. They shared a love of music and pizza splurges underneath parked semis in the rain. Since Brian had never mowed a lawn and Amy could do just about anything, somehow they thought buying some land and adding over 50 animals to a family o

f 6 would be relaxing. While the learning curve has been steep, life on the farm has been rewarding. There is never a dull moment and they spend a lot of time feeding hungry mouths and picking up poop of all sizes. Seeing all the animals get along peacefully is what led to the name Pono Acres. The property is constantly evolving and each time you visit, you may see something new. As we continue to grow, we are interested in doing more things around equine activities and exploring new uses for the property. Whichever direction we go, it will always center around our passions: good music, good food, and spending time with good friends.

We only put on a handful of shows each year, and every one is chosen with care. This is our one outdoor show this spring, and we're glad it's an old favorite.

On Saturday, June 13, BJ Wilbanks returns to the farm — full band, horn section and all — for an outdoor evening of Back Porch Soul. If you've been to a BJ show before, you already know. If you haven't: picture Funk, Soul, Motown, R&B and Americana blended into something that makes you get up out of your chair without even trying.

Two full sets. The kind of night the farm was made for.
