The candy can wait. There is something sweeter at the finish line! 🎃🍫

We are celebrating Halloween by welcoming participants to McCormick Place for the Hot Chocolate Run Expo and race packet pickup!

With bibs in hand and race-day gear ready, runners are gearing up for tomorrow's race, where a sweet reward awaits: rich Ghirardelli hot cocoa, chocolate fondue with treats for dipping, and a well-earned finisher's medal!

Who needs a candy bucket when the finish line comes with this much chocolate? 🍫🏃

Happy Halloween and good luck, runners!

Yesterday, MPEA | McCormick Place, AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology , and Choose Chicago came together to celebrate a partnership that continues to drive innovation, economic growth, and opportunity across our city.

With International Manufacturing Technology Show officially extending its commitment to Chicago through 2034, the world's manufacturing community will continue calling McCormick Place home for years to come. Each show generates approximately $250 million in economic impact, supporting local businesses, hotels, restaurants, and thousands of jobs throughout the region.

But the impact of IMTS extends far beyond the show floor.

Together with Haas Automation, Inc. and the Gene Haas Foundation , IMTS announced a $101,000 investment in Chicago Public Schools, helping expand STEM education, robotics programs, and hands-on learning opportunities that will inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and manufacturing leaders.

Chicago has always been a city that builds what's next. We're proud to continue that legacy alongside partners who are investing in both our economy and our future workforce.

Here's to what we'll build together through 2034 and beyond.

Sweater weather calls for something sweet! 🍁🍪

At American College of Emergency Physicians - ACEP , the Gate 41 Block Party transformed a transitional space into a hub for networking, conversation, and discovery. Activations like these create opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to engage in meaningful ways while extending the event experience beyond the booth.

And they're not alone. Upcoming events like ANCC are finding similar ways to activate unique spaces across our campus, utilizing the Lakeside Terrace to create new opportunities for connection and engagement beyond traditional event environments.

Whether it's a networking event, outdoor activation, or exhibitor showcase, memorable experiences help foster the connections that keep attendees engaged and coming back year after year.

At McCormick Place, we're proud to partner with event organizers to bring these moments to life and transform unique spaces across our campus into opportunities for connection, visibility, and engagement.

There is always something growing at McCormick Place. 🌱

High above our convention halls is a thriving rooftop farm, where fresh food, sustainability and hands-on learning come together against the backdrop of Chicago's incredible skyline.

With our partners at Chicago Botanic Garden and Windy City Harvest, this unique space is doing more than growing produce. It is growing opportunities, supporting our community and showing what is possible when we rethink the spaces around us.

We joined Iris Michael, Senior Manager of Garden Partnerships at Chicago Botanic Garden, and Kit Karajgi, McCormick Place Rooftop Coordinator, for a look at this season's fall harvest, the work behind it and the incredible views that make this space so special.

Now it is your turn to explore and learn! 🌿

Join us this Saturday for Open House Chicago and discover a side of McCormick Place that few get to see. Explore our rooftop farm, learn about the programs and partnerships bringing it to life and take in some of the best views of the city.

Did you know Chicago's name has Indigenous roots? 🌱

Derived from the Indigenous word shikaakwa, commonly associated with wild onions or wild garlic, our city's name reflects a history that stretches back generations.

Long before Chicago became the city we know today, this land was home to Indigenous Nations, including the Ojibwe, Odawa and Potawatomi, whose communities helped shape the region through trade, travel and cultural exchange.

Today, Chicago remains home to a vibrant Indigenous community whose cultures, traditions and contributions continue to enrich our city.

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, McCormick Place honors these communities and recognizes the importance of creating space for awareness, respect and inclusion.

Throughout the year, our campus has welcomed medical professionals, manufacturers, innovators, creatives and countless other industries and communities. During Chicago Marathon weekend, many of those worlds come together under one roof.

It is a reflection of what McCormick Place is designed to do. Our flexible spaces transform to meet the needs of each event while creating a place for people to connect, gather and share in unforgettable experiences.

We are proud to continue our partnership with the Chicago Marathon and support a Chicago tradition that transforms our campus in a way unlike any other.

For the 10th consecutive year, Condé Nast Traveler named Chicago the Best Big City in the U.S. This weekend, we get to welcome the runners, supporters and visitors who make that city come alive.
