Happy Juneteenth from McCormick Place! ❤️💛💚

Chicago celebrates Freedom Day with a wide range of events and activities, including both this weekend's Juneteenth Music Fest at Wintrust Arena and numerous family-friendly festivals throughout the city.

This year, there's another way to celebrate Juneteenth - with a visit to the Obama Foundation's brand-new Obama Presidential Center, just a 15-minute drive south of the McCormick Place campus. Our McCormick Place team was honored to tour the campus before it opened, and we were blown away by the history, the architecture, and the sheer presence of this amazing campus. We even spotted an Associated Press photo of the Obama family at McCormick Place for the election-night rally in 2008!

McCormick Place has three on-site parking lots with 5,800 parking spaces, and attendees can even reserve a daily parking space in their preferred lot in advance. Whether you are attending a conference, trade show, or event, driving to McCormick Place is an easy and straightforward travel option. ️🚘

Last month, campus efforts resulted in:
• 8.25 tons (156,500 lbs.) of food and materials rescued with Fight2Feed at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show.
• 4 tons of organic waste composted via Grind2Energy.
• 8,099 interactions by campus visitors with our Oscar Sort units.
