Yeah I know I'm flooding your feed with info this morning. Did you know you're going to be swimming through the TN River Gorge? The TN River Gorge Trust protects the gorge and does quite a bit of migratory bird research. You also stand a good chance of seeing an osprey or an eagle....or any number of birds if you happen to swim on your back.

Fall bird migration is upon us! As we speak, migratory birds are making bizarre physiological changes and beginning their astounding journeys south.

There is a lot behind the phenomenon of bird migration that is still a mystery to science. We are beginning to uncover some of the tools they use to navigate and better understand why they might be taking on such demanding and dangerous voyages. I got to my desk this morning and had a memo that came down from the CEO saying "I want to have a Buck Dancing Competition at Swim the suck or you're fired". Does anyone out there consider themselves a buck dancer? Apparently is a cross between Clogging and Tap Dancing and Kissing your Cousin. If so - leave a comment below going "I WILL DO THIS" before I start digging up fiddlers and taps shoes and a cousin.

The only nibbling reported was from a motel 6 over in tiftonia last year during swim the suck. While you are swimming you may pass a gar. They have a lot of teeth. They are pretty much a living fossil. They also bond to people swimming in the river so if you happen to see a few around you just make very quiet screaming noises under water*
