Now at the AVA gallery: we hung a retrospective of all our 4BAF posters from the last 25 years in our back hallway, with plenty of room to add more. We love the memories that each poster brings! Come visit us on Chattanooga’s north shore and reminisce.

The announcement so many of you have been waiting for! Our inaugural People’s Choice Award winner was woodworker Nicholas Barnes, whose incredible wood cloisonné technique blew so many away.

The results of the voting for this award excited us, as well over half of the artists in the show got at least one vote. We’ll bring this award back so you all can keep showing us what you like!

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our awards for our 2025 show. We’ve heard many very kind comments this year about the overall excellence of the show and the high quality of all the artists. This is a testament to the hard work of the jurors in selecting artists from our application pool, and meant that their work of going through the show and evaluating everyone’s work was very difficult. We’re so thankful to our panel of jurors - Isaac Duncan, Elizabeth Carriger, and Carley McGee. With no further ado:
Lisa Brock Best In Show - Phillip Harris (oil/acrylic painting)
2nd place - 2D - Robert Flowers (watercolor painting)
2nd place - 3D - Christopher Buonomo (sculpture)
3rd place - 2D - Michel Delgado (mixed media)
3rd place - 3D - Cory O’Rourke (metal)
Honorable Mention - 2D - Jeffrey Pender (drawing)
Honorable Mention - 3D - Donald Reed (ceramics)
Juror’s Choice - Greta McCall (oil/acrylic painting), Carl Johnson (fiber/leather), Anna Myers (sculpture)

Introducing Nicholas Barnes! 🎉 4 Bridges Arts Festival is thrilled to welcome back wood artist Nicholas Barnes from Woolwine, VA, for his second year—and our 25th-anniversary show!

🔹 Artist Statement: I create a woodturning and then inlay metal-wrapped woods and other natural materials into that form. I call my technique Wood Cloisonné. I concern myself with color, shape, and edge in order to combine my vision with natural materials. Through the inlay I am able to achieve a look that neither nature, nor I, could create on their own.

✨ Discover Barnes’s work—alongside 140+ outstanding artists—at 4 Bridges Arts Festival, April 12-13 at First Horizon Pavilion in Chattanooga. We can’t wait to see you there!

🔹 Artist statement: We hand create one-of-a-kind Cutting and Charcuterie Boards with domestic woods from our home state of Kentucky and exotics from around the World..
