Every Sunday from 3 PM to 6 PM, something happens at The Buck that you can't script. Musicians come together, songs take on a life of their own, and for a few hours the room belongs to the music.

That's been the tradition for nearly 24½ years.

🎸 IT’S SUNDAY AT THE BUCK — WHERE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA MUSICIANS COME TO PLAY 🎸

For nearly 24½ years, musicians have been making their way to the Buckingham Blues Bar on Sunday afternoons. Some came to learn. Some came to play. Some came to listen. All of them helped build a tradition that still carries on today.

Every Sunday, Tommy Lee Cook and the Buckingham Blues Band open the stage and let the music take over.

What happens next is different every week.

Old friends reconnect. New musicians find their footing. Original songs come to life. Master players stretch out and remind everyone why live music matters. Meanwhile, a room full of people who appreciate the real thing kicks back, enjoys the music, and becomes part of the afternoon.

Memphis Lightning is headed back to the Buckingham Blues Bar this Saturday, and if you were here the last time, you already know this one gets rowdy fast.

We’ve got a fresh clip from Wednesday night when Memphis showed up to join the open stage, and Saturday night Memphis Lightning takes over the stage again with the loud guitars, hard groove, and heavy blues-rock sound that fills this room up quick.

🔥 YOU NEVER KNOW WHO’S GONNA PLUG IN ON SUNDAYS AT THE BUCK 🔥

Every Sunday from 3PM to 6PM, the room turns into a moving target. Players wander in. Guitars get passed around. Musicians chase a moment. Songs stretch out while master musicians trade solos across the room all afternoon.

Real players. World-class talent. No two Sundays ever sound the same.

For nearly 24 and a half years, Tommy Lee Cook, The Buckingham Blues Band, and the Buckingham Blues Bar have kept the door open for original music in Southwest Florida. Blues, swamp rock, Southern soul, outlaw country, jam-band grooves, deep cuts, strange turns, and songs you won’t hear anywhere else because they were born right here.

The original music of Tommy Lee Cook and Harry Cassano still runs through the veins of this place, but Sundays belong to whoever’s brave enough to step up and mean it.

Josh Garrett is our next generation with an old soul, a Louisiana-bred songwriter, singer, and guitarist who grew up steeped in the roots, soul, and swamp culture of the Bayou State. There is only one band between here and New Orleans that can mix blues with jazz, reggae with rock, and country with funk and soul to produce something alive and completely new.
