We are barely over 2 1/2 weeks away from kicking off our best cruising event of the year.

Hoping everyone is all set by now. Four nights at four great destinations, with plenty of excellent stops along the way

While there is a lot of information already on our site, our goal is to have 100% of the routes and full details on everything up before the end of this coming weekend

We've heard that some hotels have been sold out for a while, but others might still have limited availability.

If you live in the New England area and can't join us for the full trip, why not just spend one day/night with us?

Meet us at kickoff on Saturday morning and cruise to Danbury, CT. Drive some awesome roads and visit a real cool aviation museum with us, spend the night, have some fun and you can still be back home before lunch on Sunday. We're not 100% sure yet, but we might even be doing of raffles that night, as we raise money for cancer research and that's always a fun time.

Another clip from the road, during yesterday's U-turn Tour

It's been talked about for a couple years now, that 2027 has a very strong possibility of being the final call for NERR's big Fall cruising event.

With that thought in mind, we've been brainstorming a bunch of different ideas about how to keep NERR going in some way or form. The U-turn Tour is the first one we've tried out. This past weekend's experiment showed us that it could work. People commented that they liked the idea and now if we decide to keep these going, we just have to figure out how to incorporate the fundraising aspect of it

Speaking of fundraising, most people know that we do this to raise money for cancer research, with more than 100% of the money raised goes to our chosen charity, the Lymphoma Research Foundation, to help them in their mission of helping find treatments and a cure for this disease.

It's been said right from the get-go, that as long as we could do some good with our events, we would keep them going. to be honest here, for the last few years it's been a struggle trying to do that. We put a good solid year plus of organizing the Fall event just by itself, nevermind the Bay Invasion Tour & it just seems that it's a lot of work, with diminishing returns.

This year we are shooting for a very modest (at least we thought) $15,000.00-ish fundraising goal. If we hit that number, that would bring our all-time number to $200,000.00 raised for cancer research. We are usually close to $15k by late July, yet here we are mid-September and we are barely over $6500.00 and this year we started with over $2400.00 leftover from 2025 matching funds that came in to late to count for last year. That means we have really raised only $4100.00 this year and that even includes the money from our June event, which usually brings in almost $3000.00 alone

We're not trying to talk all doom & gloom here, but we don't want anyone saying that they were shocked by our decisions. We've had dozens (as a modest number) of people say they are "definitely joining NERR next year", for AT LEAST the last fifteen years now.

We've got next month's event, next June's Bay Invasion Tour and hopefully next Fall's event, before things are looking at a major change. If people want to join us, consider this your last call.

Nothing lasts forever, but 20 years is a pretty good run, by any automotive event's standards.

No matter what happens, we have memories that will last a lifetime and friendships that will never be broken.

This will always be known at the original cars that started NERR's U-Turn Tour. Will we be looking back at this small clip, 19 years from now and talking about what we did this day? Only time will tell

A few shots from lunch and the cars that joined us today.

We want to thank everyone that took a chance with us today and we hope to get one or two more of these runs in before the winter weather comes in

picture drop #1 of NERR's first U-turn Tour

As promised, the run happened rain or shine. You can only be the first once, so this group "braved" some light rain to enjoy a great day

We had some great new NERR participants join us today for a nice drive in the rain.

One plan had to change and we needed to pivot at the last minute, as when we got to our planned lunch stop, we found out that they didn't open the bigger outdoor area due to the weather. Not a problem though, as we just took a short ride to Minglewood instead

We made a plan, but it wouldn't have been much if no one joined us. Let's do it again, sooner than later

We're getting ready to meet up for NERR's first ever U-turn Tour

Let's see who isn't scared of a little possible rain today

Tomorrow's "U-turn Tour" is still on

Rain looks to be certain, but there is a chance the heavier stuff is staying south of Boston.

Not ideal, but we don't give up on making memories just because of some rain.

All we can say is that we are going for.a ride tomorrow morning and we will be sitting at the bar for lunch, at Mile Marker One, when the ride is over.

We don't know if it will just be us, or of there are still some other people that really like to drive joining us. We do know for almost certain, that 4 cars are pretty much bailing out

Over the last 19 years, we've had .ore than our share of rain during events, but I don't think you'll find one person saying they had a bad time, but we bet everyone has a very vivid memory of at least one time in the rain with us
