Today, we say goodbye to a true country music legend.

John Anderson wasn't just an unforgettable voice in country music. He was part of our hometown's history. Raised right here in Apopka, Florida, he carried his roots all the way to the Country Music Hall of Fame, leaving behind timeless classics like “Seminole Wind,” “Swingin’,” and “Straight Tequila Night.”

For us at Sunset Country Festival, his legacy holds a special meaning. From the heart of Apopka to stages across America, he showed the world that great country music never forgets where it comes from.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives were touched by his music.

Rest in peace, John Anderson. Your voice will forever be part of country music's soul.
