Metro vs. Florida Challenge The Metro vs. FL Challenge matches high school men's basketball from the Orlando-Metro Conference against the rest of Florida each Thanksgiving weekend!

Challenge is an annual event hosted by Apopka High School on the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday surrounding Thanksgiving to kick off the basketball season. The Orlando-Metro Conference is widely regarded as one of the strongest regions of high school men's basketball in the state and perhaps the country, with a number of teams from this area frequently represented in state playoffs and championsh

ip games. In each game of this event, the Metro Conference puts its reputation on the line as one of its teams challenges another team from elsewhere in the State of Florida.
