🚨🗣️ Marca: Will Cristiano Ronaldo be able to reach 1000 goals before or during the 2026 World Cup?
With less than six months remaining until the start of what will be his sixth World Cup participation, he is only 43 goals away from achieving one of the greatest feats in the history of football.
It seems clear that Cristiano is not ready to retire until he accomplishes a goal that has become an obsession for him. However, he does not want to settle for what he has already achieved, and he fully realizes that accomplishing it in the tournament that will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada—where Portugal is considered one of the top favorites to win—would elevate his achievement to another level.
Based on Cristiano's scoring rate this season, he could end the season having surpassed the 990-goal mark. Of course, everything will depend on how far he goes with Al-Nassr in the AFC Champions League 2, where they are currently in the round of 16.
Despite being pardoned and participating in the first match of the World Cup, it seems highly unlikely that he will reach 1000 career goals before or during the tournament. Nevertheless, if anyone can achieve this feat, it is Cristiano Ronaldo. He has had nothing left to prove for a long time. But from now on, he needs to pick up the pace as the World Cup approaches.
