Capture your AnimeCon 2027 memories in Purikura style at the photobooth 📸! Never heard of it? In Japan, Purikura photobooths let you create playful, creative photo strips, a world away from the plain grey booths you might be used to. At AnimeCon, you can experience this for yourself with a Dutch twist on the classic Purikura experience, brought to you by Jongens van de Photobooth.

Head over to the photobooth in Bakkerij 1 with old or new friends, or bring your amazing volunteer team! Strike a pose, pull your silliest faces 🤪, and don’t hold back. Capture the moments that truly reflect your AnimeCon experience!

Attention, idol and ani-song fans!

At AnimeCon, our Pop-On Stage gives you the chance to share your skills and passion with the world! But that's not all. There are plenty of other events where you can see amazing performers shine and celebrate Japanese idol culture right here in the Netherlands!

From our very own kaigai idols to other incredible guests, there's so much to discover and enjoy.

And now, it's time to introduce... MULTI-LIVE SHOW: KTKR!

Information about the event:
Never heard of kaigai idols before? An idol in Japan is an entertainer in Japanese pop culture, often multi-talented in singing, dancing, and even acting. Kaigai means “overseas” in Japanese, reflecting how Japanese idol culture has reached the Netherlands.

Headlined by Neo, with performances from Megan-Metal, Unmei, and San, KTKR is more than just a show. It’s a chance to celebrate the artists, friendships, and shared passion that make the kaigai idol scene feel like home. Throughout the evening, you’ll hear your favourite anime songs, J-pop hits, and Vocaloid classics.

Since this event is heavily Japanese-focused, coming in cosplay is welcomed and even encouraged! In the room next to the stage, you’ll find a place to chill and take pictures of your creation, right next to the performers’ merch stands! For years, the kaigai idol community has been built by passionate fans, dedicated performers, and the belief that this music can bring people together across borders.

KTKR is a celebration of that spirit: a night created by fans, for fans, showcasing the incredible talent that continues to shape our community. Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering kaigai idols for the first time, KTKR is the place to be. Tickets are now on sale. Will we see you there?

Want to see your art on the walls during AnimeCon 2027? 🖌️🌿

During AnimeCon 2026, there were beautiful pieces of art made by our lovely community on the walls! These were submissions for the Art Gallery Competition, and just like last year, we would love to see your creative works.

We encourage everyone to pick up their paints, pencils, or (digital) pens and create something “WILD” ⛰️

Last year, went home with the prize. Want to follow in their footsteps?

🎨 Gallery Competition Rules
• The competition is open to digital entries, prints, paintings, and other two-dimensional artworks.
• AI-generated artwork is not eligible for the competition.
• The maximum artwork size is 3.5 m × 2 m.
• Digital artwork must have a minimum resolution of 300 PPI/DPI.
• The Into the WILD theme is preferred, but not mandatory.
• All entries, both digital and physical, must be submitted by email before Monday, March 15, 2027.
• Send your email with the subject “AGC2027 [Your Name]”.
• Please include your name, telephone number, social media handles, and a short description of your artwork in your email.
• After submitting your physical entry by email, the artwork can be delivered on-site at de Broodfabriek on Thursday, April 15, from 10:00 to 18:00, or Friday, April 16, from 10:00 to 13:00.
• Participants must be present at AnimeCon 2027, either as a visitor or as a vendor.

With that, has come to an end. And what a spectacular and amazing show it was! Everyone was crazy talented, including our very own .creations and . We are so proud of you!
