The Holland International Singer-Songwriter Festival (THISSFest) was a unique celebration of the art and craft of the singer-songwriter held in The Netherlands. Two editions were held (2013 and 2014) and a third edition (2014)—to have been headlined by international artists such as Howard Jones, Ben Taylor, Paul Heaton, Nick Howard, Joy Askew and others—was cancelled three weeks before the event d

ue to an insufficient amount of pre-event ticket sales. This page will serve as a lasting recollection of three amazing years that will forever have made an impact on the Dutch music and music festival scene as well as paying homage to the hundreds of singer-songwriters from more than 40 countries who participated in this unique event and the more than 100 events organized by The Secret Singer-Songwriter Society and music promoter Richard Morris. In July 2024, Morris established TheaterWorks Den Haag, an independent theatrical production company which will produce live theater and music events.

2013 was a very good year for singer-songwriters in the Netherlands. 11 years ago I was nominated for The Hague Pop Prize for my work with the singer-songwriter community. Dozens of events and hundreds of artists supported through small gigs and what was to become the largest singer-songwriter festival in Europe for two years running. And next year, in 2025...anything is possible.

Had a productive morning recording some show tunes that will be used in an upcoming trailer for "Adam Driver and the Million Dollar Haircut: The Musical." Ron Aviv was in good form as was "The Dentist" and head honcho J.M. at Yoursonics recording studio. These guys made me sound infinitely better than I really am! Broadway, here we come!!
