A rug, a table and a seat form a woven landscape of almost 7 square meters: an atlas where Victoire de Brantes and explore the dialogue between craft, material and territory.
Developed during the .residency, the collaborative work was created alongside the weavers of Aaspura within the Jaipur Rugs network. The starting point: fragments of everyday life observed from above-a tree, a path, a road, a courtyard. It is rooted in the Manchaha practice, where artisans render their inner worlds directly into form.
Through the woven shapes across the surface, textile and furniture become continuous.
Lifted into three-dimensional volume, these personal narratives converge. The resulting modular forms shift fluidly between tables and seating-holding a sharp tension between what is lived on the ground and its physical connection to space and heritage.
