/ IT MUST HAVE BEEN A NIGHTMARE BY ANDREA FERRERO X FRENCH PLACE

Set within the outdoor spaces of the Baggio Military Hospital during Alcova Milano 2026, Andrea Ferrero x French Place presented “It Must Have Been a Nightmare.” Andrea Ferrero’s practice explores how architectures of power shape the way in which we imagine and move through the world, tracing mythologies of domination embedded in built space. With glimpses of mockery, irony, and mischief, Andrea translates her fantasies into immersive installations, edible banquets and play infrastructures that weave political history with myth, prophecy and personal memory, combining techniques that range from aluminum casting to ironwork and chocolate making.

/A MATTER OF MATTER BY FAP CERAMICHE

Set within the Baggio Military Hospital during Alcova Milano 2026, Fap Ceramiche presented “A Matter of Matter”, an immersive exploration of ceramics and their transformative potential. Sculpted forms, metallic glints, tactile surfaces, and luminous finishes interact with light and shadow, inviting visitors to touch, move, and discover shifting textures and depth. The installation reimagines ceramics as living architecture: shaping emotions, identities, and new spatial possibilities.

/BECOMING UNDER CONSTRAINT BY LAURA GIUDICE

Becoming Under Constraint brings together sculptural functional pieces in ceramics, glass, and metal. Forms emerge from the encounter between materials that resist, contain, or transform one another. Pressure, fracture, and corrosion leave visible traces on the surfaces.
Rather than concealing these marks, the work allows them to remain, shaping the final form. Each piece suggests a process of becoming: a material adapting, persisting, and finding its form within constraint.

Presented at Alcova Milano 2026, Femetality invites you into a world where playfulness is extracted from a material often perceived as rigid and unforgiving: metal. Mostly being a male dominated profession, MARUXI and FENNA bring out the sensitivity one is able to have with this material and the versatility it can bring. From drawing and extruding worlds out of the welding machine to the rawness of texture one is able to extract, Maru and Fenna invite you to the microscopic and interactive world that goes beyond your regular steel.

Looking back at the immersive atmosphere at VOCLA during Alcova Milano’s last edition.

VOCLA is an immersive project created by in collaboration with Alcova. Conceived as a space where design, art and social exchange meet, it brings together installations, objects and atmospheres in a setting that moves beyond the traditional exhibition format. / MAIN STAGE BY MANON VIRATELLE X CRISTINA GUSANO

In the intimate garden of Villa Pestarini, during Alcova Milano 2026, Manon Viratelle and Cristina Gusano presented Main Stage, a meeting of contrasts where lines intersect and materials reveal their essence.

Manon incorporates ceramic fragments by Cristina Gusano, whose practice explores geometric forms, lines, and light through unique pieces, creating a sonic dialogue between materials.
Textiles drift lightly in the wind while ceramics hold a commanding presence. Fabrics flutter, ceramics clink, and volumes respond to one another. The space becomes a performance of movement and stillness, inviting the audience to pause and experience a moment suspended under the sun.

Inside the historic Lavanderia at the Baggio Military Hospital Complex, FROMM.Lab presented Interlaced. The exhibition offers a glimpse into a cross-cultural journey, featuring pieces by finalists of the FROMM.Lab international design competition.

Inspired by Arab heritage and expressed through designers from five different countries, the exhibition unfolds under the curation of Etienne Bastormagi. It approaches heritage as something continuously shaped through making and context, rather than something fixed in the past.
