🔦 Domenica 1 novembre, in occasione della Domenica al Museo, il casale di Santa Maria Nova apre straordinariamente le porte al pubblico in orario serale, con ingresso gratuito dalle 19.30 alle 22.30, per la mostra “L’Ingegnere Volante. Taruffi torna sulla Via Appia Antica”.

🗃 Alle 19.30 e alle 21.00 il personale del Parco accompagnerà i visitatori in due visite dedicate all’esposizione. Diari, progetti tecnici, modelli per la galleria del vento e fotografie: l’archivio privato di Piero Taruffi, presentato per la prima volta sull’Appia, racconta come la regina viarum sia diventata il laboratorio a cielo aperto di uno degli ingegneri e piloti più visionari della storia dell’automobilismo.

🎟 Il biglietto gratuito “Domenica al Museo | Mostra L’ingegnere volante. Apertura serale” è disponibile sul sito di Musei Italiani, tramite app oppure, il giorno stesso, presso i totem all’ingresso dei siti.

🇬🇧 For the first time, Piero Taruffi’s private archive goes on public display.

Diaries, technical drawings, wind tunnel models, patents and personal photographs trace the life of an engineer, a pilot and an inventor who pushed the automobile past every known limit.

Seventy years after he broke 300 km/h on the Via Appia Antica aboard the futuristic Bisiluro Tarf, “The Flying Engineer” returns to the road that made him legend.

At the Casale di Santa Maria Nova, from October 8th to November 8th. Purchasing a GranMotori ticket includes entry to the exhibition.

🇮🇹 Per la prima volta, l’archivio privato di Piero Taruffi va in mostra al pubblico.

Diari, disegni tecnici, modelli per la galleria del vento, brevetti e fotografie personali ripercorrono la vita di un ingegnere, un pilota e un inventore che ha spinto l’automobile oltre ogni limite conosciuto.

Settant’anni dopo aver superato i 300 km/h sulla Via Appia Antica al volante del futuristico Bisiluro Tarf, “l’Ingegnere Volante” torna sulla strada che lo ha consacrato nella storia.

Al Casale di Santa Maria Nova, dall’8 ottobre all’8 novembre. Con l’acquisto di un biglietto per il Festival GranMotori, l’ingresso alla mostra è incluso.

In collaborazione con il Parco Archeologico dell’Appia Antica e la Collezione Lopresto. 🏁

GranMotori is fully planned and ready to deliver - but new requirements linked to our venue’s historic and archaeological significance mean we cannot compromise on how we set up the event.

Rushing these changes would push us into November, which isn’t right for an outdoor festival.

🇬🇧 A unique Group B monster, still alive.

Marco Gramenzi’s Lancia Delta S4 Evo 2 is the only one in the world fitted with the Triflux engine, a 1988 patent by Sergio Limone and Claudio Lombardi that never made it onto a production S4.

The Delta S4 was born to dominate rallying in 1985.

Its career ended just two years later, when Group B itself was banned for being too extreme to control.

This is what survived that era. One of one.

La Lancia Delta S4 Evo 2 di Marco Gramenzi è l’unica al mondo dotata del motore Triflux, un brevetto del 1988 di Sergio Limone e Claudio Lombardi che non arrivò mai su una S4 di serie.

La Delta S4 nasce per dominare i rally nel 1985.

La sua carriera finisce appena due anni dopo, quando il Gruppo B stesso viene bandito per essere troppo estremo da controllare.

Questo è ciò che è sopravvissuto a quell’epoca. Uno di uno.

For a few days only, two of the rarest cars from the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile are leaving Turin for Tenuta di Fiorano.

A Cisitalia and a FIAT from the very first years of the automobile: fifty years apart, and both leaving the museum for the first time in a long while.

You won’t just see them side by side. You’ll be able to get close, in a way a museum hall never allows.

🇬🇧 Imagine a cinema on wheels.

Built in 1929 on a FIAT 521 chassis by Carrozzeria Fissore, it was sent to Eritrea during the Italian colonial period to project newsreels from its own onboard projector, still in working order today.

🇮🇹 Immagina un cinema su ruote.

Costruita nel 1929 su telaio FIAT 521 dalla Carrozzeria Fissore, fu inviata in Eritrea durante il periodo coloniale italiano per proiettare cinegiornali dal proprio proiettore di bordo, ancora funzionante oggi.

🇬🇧 The March 761 is pure seventies Formula 1: a Cosworth V8 behind the driver, an aluminium body, and the raw character of an era when these cars were driven on instinct alone.

In these photos you see the Jägermeister version, but the one coming to GranMotori is its sister car: the very March 761 that Ronnie Peterson drove to victory at Monza in 1976, the last Grand Prix win in March’s history.

One curious detail: from this same model, March later built its legendary six-wheeler, the 2-4-0, with four wheels at the rear and a name borrowed from steam locomotives.

🇮🇹 La March 761 è Formula 1 anni Settanta allo stato puro: un V8 Cosworth alle spalle del pilota, una carrozzeria in alluminio e il carattere ruvido di un’epoca in cui queste auto si guidavano solo d’istinto.

Nelle foto vedete la versione Jägermeister, ma quella che arriva a GranMotori è la sua auto sorella: proprio la March 761 che Ronnie Peterson guidò alla vittoria a Monza nel 1976, l’ultimo successo in Formula 1 nella storia della March
