Now gearing up for the 33rd edition of the LCL Bike Ride, the event has long been a staple in North West cycling calendar and communities, bringing thousands of people together to take on epic routes regardless of age, distance or ability. 🚴

Over time we have raised an estimated £1,000,000+ for local and regional charities and now owned and operated by North West Cancer Research, we have raised over £180,000 for life-saving cancer research education and awareness in our region, in the last two years alone. 💛

We are delighted to have been recognised for this award but we couldn’t have done it without the LCL community you have all helped build. This is OUR nomination. 🙌

4 weeks on from the LCL Bike Ride, we are delighted to announce that an incredible ✨£93,000✨ has been raised for North West Cancer Research!

2800 cyclists 🚴collectively cycled over 136,500 miles🛣️ on Sunday 5th July, to help us in our mission to put our region's cancer needs first.

A huge thank you to every single person who took part and pedaled with purpose - you have all made a real different to our communities💛

And of course, a massive thank you to our incredible sponsors Home Bargains, Princes Group, Oliver & Co Solicitors and H2 Origin Refills who helped make the day possible 🙌

Here's a few of our top tips for preparing for your ride tomorrow:

🚲 Prep Your Bike – Clean it, check tire pressure, brakes, and gears.

🥘 Fuel Smart – Eat balanced meals with carbs, lean protein, and hydrate throughout the day to store energy.

👚 Pack Early – Lay out your kit, tools, nutrition, water bottles, and race number. Avoid morning panic.

💤 Rest Up – Get a full night's sleep. Wind down early to wake up refreshed and ready to ride.
