Want to know more about the Westmorland Dales? On Saturday 25 July you can enjoy a Cumbria Classic Coach tour of some iconic beauty spots.

Join David Evans, Scheme Manager of the former Westmorland Dales Landscape Partnership, on board a Cumbria Classic Coach for a whistlestop tour.

Featuring some of the loveliest landscapes and villages in the Westmorland Dales as well as discussions about local history, geology, farming and archaeology, highlights include Nateby, Mallerstang to Pendragon Castle and over to Ravenstonedale - and there might be the odd surprise, too!

The tour runs from 16:15 to 18:15 and starts at the bus stop outside Costa, Kirkby Stephen.

It's now less than two months until The Westmorland Dales Festival begins! Running across the weekend of 25-26 July, we're celebrating the culture and heritage of our beautiful area.

On Saturday 25 July you can enjoy walking tours of Orton and Great Asby. Discover these historic villages and learn all about their past residents.

These two-hour walks begin at 1030am, but places are limited, so head to westmorlanddalesfestival.org/events to book your spot.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the festival an absolutely brilliant weekend. Thanks to our volunteers, guides, venues, makers, musicians, stall holders, fitness instructors, medics, church choir, Silver band, National Lottery, sponsors, town council, charities, entertainers, food stalls, participating businesses. and especially to all of you lovely people that visited. (Sorry if we've forgotten anyone in this list). Next year is our 10th anniversary, so keep an eye out closer to the time. Oh, and if this is your hat, message us and we'll repatriate it!
