Our cinema screening in February is “Four Mothers” at Kirkby Club on Friday 20 February.

An author is saddled with caring for his mother after she suffers a stroke. His plans for a book tour are thrown into disarray when three more elderly women arrive on his doorstep in Dublin.

Doors open at 7.00pm for the film at 7.30pm. The bar is open for pre-show, interval and post-show drinks.

All welcome - £5 for adults / £3 for under 18s

Our next Highlights Rural Touring Scheme is the theatre show We're Not Getting a Dog* from the brilliant comedian and storyteller, Sam Freeman.

It's a beautiful performance about passive aggressive letter writing, early morning jet washing and making a house a home. It's about those people who live, laugh and live metres away from us but who, really, we barely know at all.

We're trying out pay what you decide tickets - so you choose if you pay £12, £15 or £18. And under 25s are £10. You can book online at https://highlightsnorth.co.uk/.
