GeorgeFest 2026 🩵

After a year of planning, GeorgeFest happened last Saturday and wow - what a day!

We were absolutely overwhelmed by the support from family, friends and the local community. Thank you so much!

We’ve raised an incredible £4,084 (which includes money from the Happy Feet dance show in July) for our three charities; The Bereavement Suite at Kings Mill Hospital, The Emily Harris Foundation and Baby Basics.

A HUGE THANK YOU to:

Warsop Parish Council and Mayor Andy Abraham for the kind grant donations which helped us plan and promote the event.

All the entertainers, rides, stall holders and food vendors.

The incredible raffle and tombola prize and charitable donations.

All who kindly donated decorations on the day.

Mansfield 103.2 for promoting GeorgeFest in the lead-up.

Mayor Andy Abraham for officially opening on the day.

And last but not least, to our volunteers for helping with the preparation leading up to GeorgeFest and on the day. A special mention to Hannah Johnson, who is truly incredible and ensured everything ran like clockwork.

All in the name of a very special little boy; George Steven Wheatman 🩵🦋

A huge thank you to everyone at the Happy Feet Dance Studio for helping raise an amazing £459.44 for the GeorgeFest charities at their annual dance show ‘So Iconic’ on 18th & 19th July at the Mansfield Palace Theatre! 💙

A special thank you to owner Jo Wilson, the entire Happy Feet family, all the volunteers, and everyone who came along and supported the event. Your kindness, generosity, and community spirit have made a real difference.

We are incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you! 💙✨

NB George’s mummy danced with Happy Feet for 11 years until 2017 and we’re so proud that George’s sister Suvannah is following in her dance shoes!

A year today marks the day we laid you to rest. Something parents shouldn’t have to do. Daddy did a speech and Mummy & Auntie Lauren sang for you. Everyone who loved you came together and celebrated the amazing boy you are.

We always wished and dreamed of the amazing life you’d live and the memories we’d make with you🥺

Thank you for visiting grandad grumpy today, just like you visited us last year 🦋 blue butterflies are rare and we don’t see them often, so we know when we do, it’s you baby boy.

I can’t say the pain we carry is any easier, we love you and miss you so much. Our George, Our World, Our Angel 🩵
