Introducing our third guest speaker for the Kent Farming Conference on Wednesday 27th January 2027! 💡

We're delighted to welcome Ben Hughes, Farmer's Weekly's Sheep Farmer Of The Year 2026, to share his insight into farming sheep for profit in the current economic climate.

Ben manages a mobile breeding flock of 1,200 North Country Mules put to Texel/Charollais tups for the Robinson Farm Partnership in Hampshire. Lambs are finished off grass and cover crops to secure a premium price.

Grazing a mixture of fodder crops, wildflower pasture and herbal ley, Ben is taking full advantage of the opportunities presented by Sustainable Farming Incentives (SFI). As part of the Tesco Sustainable Lamb Group, performance and quality are benchmarked against producers throughout the group to drive continual growth.

Alongside this, Ben contract shepherds for multiple flocks, including 450 Romney/Highlander ewes, a further 800 Lleyn ewes and a further 3,500 lambs finished under contract, making up around 50% of the business.

Register for your FREE ticket here to join us on the night and here from our fantastic lineup of guest speakers:
