We welcome back Nicky Blackmarket for another 5 hour set in Atika 💣💣💣

Expect to hear plenty of 90s bleeps n bass, Old Skool jungle, old Skool hardcore breakbeat and Upfront jungle Dnb👍

As a foundational figure in the UK jungle and drum and bass scenes, he co-founded the legendary Blackmarket Records in Soho and as the house scene fractured into breakbeat in the early 1990s, he created a dedicated basement section for the emerging sound that would soon be known as drum and bass. The shop became a mecca for DJs and ravers globally before closing its physical doors in 2014.

Raised in South London, Nicky began his DJ career at the age of 14. Initially spinning electro and house at youth clubs and house parties, he quickly became a staple on seminal pirate radio stations like Pulse FM, Eruption FM, and Friends FM. His heritage includes Indian-Nepali, Irish, and Swedish roots.

Sonic Bloom are proud to be hosting these 2 amazing bands again and kicking off LMF with the first gig of lancaster music festival week!!! 🤩🩵🙌

GANS are one of the most exciting and uncompromising alternative acts to emerge from the UK underground in recent years and we’re delighted to have them back as the opening gig of the Lancaster Music Festival. Blending industrial noise, post-punk intensity and razor-sharp songwriting, the Birmingham duo have built a reputation for explosive live performances and fearless creativity. Following critical acclaim for their debut album and a relentless touring schedule across the UK and Europe, GANS bring their powerful new live show to Kanteena, Lancaster as part of The Evolution Tour.

We welcome back Lancaster noise-rock-post-punk trio TV FACE who have built up a fierce reputation for their ability to weld dissonant chaos to pop hooks and turn it into something blistering, witty, and impossible to ignore… “it’s rare to hear a band this grainy and coarse produce such classy, infectious music” (Vive Le Rock).
Their much anticipated second album, WOLF RENTS BARK, released in September 2025 via Preston’s cult label Crackedankles Records, received rave reviews from Louder Than War, Vive Le Rock, The Punk Site and many more. It made several best of 2025 lists, including landing at number 7 in Louder Than War’s Top 100 Albums of 2025.
