Visited GIBC? This message is for you.

For those who've been part of the Centre for decades. For those who have only recently joined us. For the friends, families, volunteers and supporters who help make GIBC what it is.

You are the heart of this place.

The Centre isn't defined by its walls, its bowling rinks or the trophies won over the years.

It's defined by the people.

The people who turn up week after week. Who make newcomers welcome. Who organise competitions, support one another and create the atmosphere that makes GIBC feel like a community rather than simply a sports facility.

We know how much this place means to so many of you.

And we want you to know that we're working to ensure it continues to offer those same opportunities for many years to come.

Our Just Transition Fund application would help us invest in solar energy, reduce long-term operating costs and strengthen the future of the Centre we all care about.

Bbe a part of that future.

Please take a moment to consider supporting GIBC in the public vote, and talk to eligible family and friends about why our Centre matters.

Remember: FIVE projects must be selected.

Thank you for being the reason GIBC is such a special place.

We weren't successful in the previous Just Transition Fund public vote. Some of our supporters' votes didn't count...help us get it right this time.

If you would like to support GIBC's £50,000 solar project in this year's public vote, please make sure you complete the process:

✅ Check your eligibility. You must live, work or access services in the relevant region, and have a home postcode in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire or Moray.

✅ Choose your FIVE preferred projects, including GIBC if you wish to support our application.

✅ Follow the process through to final submission.

Selecting only GIBC is not enough. You must select five projects.

❤️ Our Community. Our Centre. Our Future.

28/10/2026

Think about the places you look forward to visiting. Somewhere the faces are familiar, the conversation comes easily and there's always someone pleased to see you.Where someone walking in for the first time can discover a whole new community.

These opportunities don't happen by accident. They need dedicated people, welcoming facilities and organisations willing to plan for the future.

That's why our Just Transition Fund application matters.

We're looking to strengthen GIBC's sustainability through investment in solar energy, reducing long-term running costs and helping preserve the Centre's important role in our community.

Because a building is just a building until people fill it with friendships, memories and life.

Please consider supporting our project and 4 others when completing your vote.

Thank you for caring about the places that bring our community together. ❤️

Friends who saves you a seat.Familiar faces who ask how your week's been. Conversation over a cup of tea.

The people who notice when you've not been in for a while.

For many older people, these seemingly small moments can mean absolutely everything. That's what Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre is about.

Behind every rink, every match and every social gathering is something bigger: a community of people who genuinely enjoy being together.

In a world where loneliness and social isolation remain real challenges, places that encourage people to come together deserve to be valued.

We're asking for your support to help us invest in GIBC's long-term sustainability, ensuring we can continue offering these opportunities for years to come.

Please don't underestimate how much this Centre means to the people who use it.

Take a moment to read about our £50,000 solar project and consider supporting us in the public vote.

Some places mean more to a community than words can ever fully express. Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre is one of those places.

For generations, our Centre has been somewhere friendships are made, familiar faces meet, stories are shared and people come together through sport, laughter and companionship.

For many of our older members, it's so much more than a game of bowls. It's a reason to get out of the house. It's something to look forward to. It's friendship, routine, exercise and that wonderful feeling of belonging somewhere.

And we want to make sure future generations experience that same sense of community.

We're once again asking for your support through the Just Transition Fund, with a £50,000 application to help install solar panels, reduce our long-term energy costs and strengthen GIBC's future.

We're taking action now to ensure our Centre remains resilient, welcoming and sustainable for the years ahead.

But this is a competitive public vote, and we need our community to come together.

PLEASE CONSIDER VOTING FOR GIBC. ❤️

We're not simply investing in a building. We're investing in the people who bring it to life.
