Barnfields is a Weddings and Events venue based on our small family farm in the Essex countryside.

Home to a tipi meadow and beautiful converted barn, we’re for event makers who want to bring something of themselves to the day.

Join us for an evening of creative gorgeousness, making your Christmas Wreath in the beautiful (heated!) barn overlooking the lake. Under the expert guidance of the talented Rebecca Avery from , it will be a lovely evening to share with others (bring a sister or friend?) as you create a stunning wreath to make your home look gorgeous and welcoming. NEW WORKSHOP DATE & venue. Join us Brickwall Farm (Barnfields) for an evening of wreath making, in the beautiful barn at Brickwall Farm, you’ll be met with fresh, abundant local foliage, from our friend Alex Jordans Farm Foliage & Flowers & the local growers of Essex Flower Grower Collective and an array of seasonal decorative florals, berries and seed heads. Our workshops are a masterclass in traditional Wreath making, using locally grown and sustainably sourced materials, to create a show stopping wreath for your door this festive period.

Long summer evenings at Barnfield Weddings and Events look like this. Food trucks (Gully.UK and Mac st Kitchen this time), drinks from a horse box ( The Beaufort Box), great bands (The Good, The Bad & the Ugly....& Jim) , beautiful tipis from Coast To Coast Tipis, and a lakeside fire pit in case the evening gets chilly (remember that?!)

Essex Highways

Please could you clarify - I understand the Braintree bypass A131 will be closed at points this weekend? Is that correct?
Please could you clarify timings? Your online map says (I think?) that it will be closed continuously, but someone has told me it’s only closed after 8pm. We really need to know!

A little bit more about the small but lovely Barn at Barnfields, which overlooks the lake.
We’ll be ready to share details of packages and prices next month, but for now here’s a little more of a taste of what it looks like when it’s in the hands of experts.
