Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at Filey Kite Festival, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.

Come down to Filey Brigg Country Park on Friday, 18 September, from 6.30pm to 9pm; Saturday, 19 September, from 10am to 4pm; and Sunday, 20 September, from 10am to 4pm.

You'll see spectacular kite flying in the skies over the Yorkshire coast at this free festival.

There'll also be children’s fairground rides and delicious food and drinks Filey Food Festival.

We have lots happening with displays from the UK’s best kite flyers, children’s fairground rides, the teddy bear drop, plus food and drink from Filey Food Festival

Our Learn to Fly zone is back so bring your own kite to receive some expert advice and guidance.

The free festival will take place at Filey Brigg Country Park on Friday 18 September between 6:30pm to 9pm, Saturday 19 September between 10am to 4pm and Sunday, 20 September, between 10am and 4pm.

There is just one week until Filey Kite Festival 2026!

For the first time we have a Friday Night Flight, a unique opportunity to see illuminated kites as the sun sets over the Yorkshire coast.

Once again, we're partnering with Filey Food Festival, so you might see some familiar faces.

The free festival features displays from dozens of the UK’s best kite flyers, showcasing a wide variety of weird and wonderful kites in the skies over the Yorkshire coast. The weekend’s events will be hosted and commentated on by the Northern Kite Group.

There will also be children's fairground rides, and refreshments will be available from traders and the Country Park Café.

Teddy Bear Drop is back!

Bring your favourite teddy, and send them on a parachute flight to remember!.

Teddy Bear Drop takes places at 12pm and 2pm.

This activity is weather dependent, as we don't want your teddy's flying off into the sunset.

There's not just sky-high excitement at Filey Kite Festival. We'll also have ground-level thrills!

You'll see some familiar faces as vendors from Filey Food Festival bring their delicious food and drink.

There's fun for the whole family, with funfair rides and, for the first time, a make your own kite area.

We are two weeks away from this year's Filey Kite Festival!

Join us for fantastic displays with many of the world’s largest and most colourful kites, hosted and commentated on by Northern Kite Company.

The skies above the Yorkshire coast will be filled with spectacular displays. For the first time ever, at Friday Night Flight, you'll see illuminated kites as the sun begins to set over the coast.

We're once again being joined by Filey Food Festival, so you can also enjoy delicious food and drink, including hot food, desserts, snacks, and beverages.
